My twins have not played with this much yet. The opening seems to be small to me. They received this for Christmas because they love playing with my purse(taking things in and out) and they still would much rather play with my purse. see less

My daughter got this for her first birthday. Its a good toy for us to play with together, but the purse doesnt open very wide and closes too easily, so she gets frustrated quickly when playing with it solo. I'd say that other brands fill up and spill out toys are more fun, for her to take things in and out of, but most of them do not have the music and talking voice that she likes with this one. see less

My son is really into mus ... see more

My son is really into musical instruments. He loves to identify the instuments he hears whenever he hears music anywhere. I knew he'd love this toy...and I was right! He plays conductor and carefully adds instruments one at a time to create his perfect sound. He is 4 and will play with this for hours on end. The delightful classical music is much nicer than most toys that make noise, so eveyone's happier! see less

My grand-daughter is turning four and loves the orchestra pit, she knows all the instruments now and loves the "real" sounds they make. We had a great time introducing her to music and a fun play time. see less

This is one of our favorite toys ever. We got it at Christmas for our 4 year old. Our older 10 year old has been playing with it as well. This toy really helps you listen to the different instruments and how they sound alone and with different instrument combinations. Super fun to play. Great for music lovers. see less

Great value with online sale price plus 5 percent off using red card. Passed the leapster explorer down to my daughter but all of the games are interchangeable a HUGE plus. The games also work with the leap pad which my kids share for now. Great selection of games that actually have a learning component - math, reading, counting, shapes, etc. This will delay a nintendo DS system for at least a few more years! Purchase the skin for durability. One of the buttons is already starting to rub off and he has only had this for 30 days. I may see if I can exchange it. Love that it plugs in to charge - the biggest downfall of the first leap pad. My son loves the headphones and has the cases to hold all of his games also. Great product with long lasting usefulness. see less

I bought this for my 6 year old son who really wanted a Nintendo DS. I had owned Leapters before and wasn't ready to commit to a handheld that had no educational value so I took a chance on the GS. He loves it. He has spent hours playing the NFL and star wars game that I bought him and we went online and picked out apps together (Trex run, monkey soccer). The apps are great. He even enjoys the included Sillies app which I was worried might be too young for him. A total win. Oh yeah, and my 8 year old with the Nintendo asks if he can have a turn and a login on the LeapsterGS. I only wish there were more reading game apps like the old Star Wars Reading. see less

This is probably my 4 year old son's favorite game. He loves to just color things on the screen, play the music coloring game (this one I find annoying!). He hasn't tried the adventure game yet so I don't know how that one is (but it sounds like fun, so I'll have to play when he's at school!). see less
