I use this in both of my kids' rooms on the White Noise function. It is a necessity, especially when I don't want one of them waking the other with crying in the middle of the night. It has many sounds but the white noise works the best for my family. Definitely a must-have for babies! see less

We wanted a new white noise machine for my son's toddler room and picked this one. We really like it. It has a variety of sounds and a radio and the sound quality is good. We like to listen the radio when we are playing games or picking up toys in his room. The clock is easy to set. He can even turn it on and pick the white noise sound he wants. I think we are going to get one for our room too so we don't have to use a fan for white noise. see less

We have two of these, one of which has been going since our 3.5 year old was born. Our second one has been in use for almost 2 years now and they both are still going strong. I love that it has a battery back-up in addition to plug-in, so if the power goes out for any reason, i.e. during a storm, our kids will still sleep. They're also loud enough that our kids don't wake each other up at night, despite being in rooms right next to each other. No complaints here! see less

This sound machine was awesome to begin with. It was great for calming our fussy baby and helping everyone get some sleep. However, after heavy usage for about 2 weeks, the unit started to short out and make a skipping noise a few minutes into turning it on. My baby would wake up and start crying immediately... not fun. I'm hoping I just got a bad unit and they aren't all like this because when it was working properly it was worth it's weight in gold. see less

The machine worked perfectly for a while. All of the sudden, it just shut off on its own in the middle of the night. My child happened to be awake and noticed it and started crying because the "music" went away. Now, every time we turn it on, there is a 50 percent chance that it will turn back off almost immediately, unless we tap the power knob. I will need to replace this unit soon, because it drives me crazy having to turn it on and make sure I tap it so it doesn't shut off on its own. I won't be buying this same model. see less

No, it's not loud enough ... see more

No, it's not loud enough to cover a multitude of other noises ie- we live by a train track and nothing will cover that, but does help ease things into the background. We enjoy the sound that sounds like static or rain on a tin roof. It's soft, not annoying, and enough that my son, 6 months has been sleeping through the night for months- please don't throw things at me- I know we're lucky! It also helps knock my husband and I right out, even over the monitor after we moved him! We've used it for travel, and the batteries help with power outages! I highly recommend! Yes, the power light is bright, but it's the only light I need to peek in on him, making it a really effective nightlight. see less

We received this as a baby shower gift before our daughter was born and when we brought her home, we started her on the white noise which is really freaky sounding if you've never heard it before and then moved her on to the Mozart music. She doesn't go a night without it and the few nights she's had to, she hasn't slept as well. It's soothing to her and to us. I would definitely recommend this item!!! see less

This sound machine is well worth buying if you have a new baby. There are 2 volume settings, so you can make the music/sounds as low or loud as necessary. This keeps outside noise out while baby sleeps, but isn't so loud it can be heard outside the room. see less

I bought this for my 2 year old and soon to come baby. It's cute, compact, and has so many options. The tail moves for the perfect position of the projector. I would prefer a lower price but it's worth it. I would use it for myself if it was in a different shape...lol!! see less

I bought this one because the Sound spa for [price] got such questionable reviews regarding the projector not working and being noisy. This one is [...] more but I'm hoping it won't break down like the other one. I have kept the box and receipt just in case! It's pretty small, like the size of a grapefruit with a tail. It is has volume and brightness control and projects a clear, colorful image. The projector doesn't turn, instead the lights change position and there is no noise from that. The tail twists so you can move it to get the perfect angle for the projector. see less

Our son is 3 years old and we still use it. He requests which sounds he would like to sleep to, or sometimes we just plug our iPod into it so he can listen to a playlist. When he was a newborn is was very soothing for him to listen to the white noise and the ocean sounds. As he got older, we would turn the sound machine on and he instantly knew that it was time for bed. I have recommended it to all of our friends that are expecting. This is one of the best baby purchases we have made and look forward to using it for our new baby! see less

Other sleep soothers only last 15 minutes, maybe a half hour. This one you can adjust to a full hour. I got this when we moved baby from the cosleeper to his own room, at 7 months. My baby, who is 10 months now, loves to turn the light on and amuse/soothe himself when he wakes himself up at night. At first I was worried that the light would be a distraction, but it really helps him go back to sleep. I love this so much I'm getting a second for his crib at daycare. see less
