This pad is SUPER comfortable, so thick and wonderful. But it is a good 4" short of the edge on all sides of my queen mattress. I do not have a super thick mattress or pillow top or anything, it's actually pretty old, so I was surprised the padding didn't go all the way to the edge. But good enough for the price. see less

I bought two of these for my XL twin beds. They were the correct length, and they were deep enough to accommodate my very thick mattresses. They came out of the wash looking good, and went right onto the beds. No observable problems with stitching. I will be buying more. see less

I just bought two of these for my XL twin beds. They came out of the wash looking good, I air dried them and then put them on the beds. Perhaps other reviewers put them in the dryer and they shrunk to a shorter size? At any rate, mine fit onto the XL mattresses, no problem. Did the job, for a great price. see less

Bought 2 of these for children going off to college. They needed twin xl so I bought 2 at store. One was short by 5 inches not the 80in needed for XL twin bed. Returned it and bought another only to have a another short mattress pad. In both case the label on the package and on the mattress pad said Twin XL. Went to the store to see if they carried other brands in XL size which they didn't but did notice that there were several R Essential Twin XL mattress pad items that had been opened and possibly returned so it looks like I wasn't the only one that had a problem. see less

Received this yesterday, immediately put it on my bed and LOOOVE it. I'll admit, it's a little lumpy at first, but I'm sure once it's slept on a few more times it'll adjust itself. My mattress has been very uncomfortable lately. Instead of getting a new mattress, my boyfriend and I agreed to try to "revive" ours first. Originally, I had planned on buying a very cushiony mattress cover or feather bed and a foam topper. So far, I have only used this mattress pad and have not found a need for the topper.The cover shipped pretty quickly and arrived within a week. At first, I was a little worried because the mattress pad came wrapped in clear plastic instead of the thicker packaging that bedding usually comes in. It fit the bed nicely although my boyfriend commented that it was lumpy. After the first night, though, he loved it. It is very comfortable and lives up to everything it promised to be.So far, I love it and have absolutely no complaints. And, the price was much better than what I found on other websites and department stores. see less

Mattress pad fits well, and stays in place, so that there isn't any bunching and discomfort. I had this same pad in a king size for another bed and it was also a good fit - easy care (washing machine), and it's a comfortable protection for your mattress (not stiff). Quality is good for the price. I purchased two mattresses for my household, both are the same with a foam topper (called it "Plush" top). At the time I didn't realize how hot sleeping in that bed would be. So I purchased two of these mattress pads to provide a cooling barrier from the foam... and it worked! It has just enough of a pad ... not overly fluffy. The elastic sides fit over my mattress (12") but I'm sure it could easily accommodate a deeper mattress. I'm very pleased with the purchase. see less

Great cover. Fits well and doesn't pop off or move around. Comfortable -- can't feel the mattress grooves at all. It was a little confusing to figure out how to put it on at first, as it's a little hard to find the corners, but I got it on by myself in less than two minutes. see less

Nice soft mattress pad - have washed it several times and it has not shrunk (or melted like some previous mattress pads I've owned). It fits my 10" queen mattress wonderfully and has retained elasticity. Good value. see less

Being a single guy, mattress pads aren't exactly my strong suit, but I'm happy with the product. It's actually on a full size futon mattress and stays in place like it should. The elastic that goes around the mattress is a bit frilly, which is hard to tell from the photo, so a caution that this isn't the most manly of mattress pads. see less

I had just returned a slumber solutions 3" gel memory foam from [...] because it was way too soft and I sunk in and had difficultly sitting up or turning in bed. On impulse, I bought this one because it was Fieldcrest and they have good quality stuff with their other bedding - sheets, comforters, etc. So far after three weeks it's great. Lower back pain has gone away after waking up, which is the only reason I started looking into mattress toppers to begin with. I don't really got hot, or notice a lot of heat, like the other reviewer complained about. Maybe slightly. But it's still winter so in a way it works fine that way. And more than anything, I look forward to getting in bed, it's very comfortable and I also don't have issues sitting up or turning in bed, like I had with the one I bought on [...]. Also, there is virtually no smell with this topper like the gel ones have. I am definitely happy with it. see less

I purchased this pad about a month ago. I have not felt any warmer at night than usual, it doesn't seem to retain heat like a previous reveiwer mentioned. I like how it comes with a cover that zips in the pad and then covers your entire mattress like a fitted sheet. I wanted to try this because my lower back has been bothering me and our bed is very firm and too new to buy a new one. I am very happy with this memory foam. see less

I was excited to try this product and when I was able to get a great deal on one, the time was right. Unfortunately my excitement did not match the reality. It is way too hot to be comfortable. Looking back, I should have realized this...foam preserves heat, hence it is used for camping mats, etc. It is a great insulator. If there is one thing I hate though it is sleeping in a bed that is too hot to be comfortable. At about 200am I was still tossing and turning, drifting in and out of sleep, my body drenched in sweat. I finally went outside to cool off, came back in and ripped it off my mattress. I promptly fell asleep comfortably cool on my good, old regular mattress. What a HUGE difference... This topper will go back. No doubt about it. Researching it online I find it is the number one complaint about all memory foam mattresses and toppers. Had I known this, I would not even have tried..... see less

Most of these pads do not hold up after multiple washes required with a preschooler. This one holds up great. You just need to make sure that you do not wash or dry it on hot. Use warm water to wash and either air dry or dry on the lowest setting. I have had one for a year and washed it daily for a while with no problems. I will buy another one when my toddler moves to his big kid bed. It also seems comfortable and not plastic-y like some of them are and the price is very reasonable. see less

I have a cat that likes to show me she's upset by [urinating] on my bed occassionally. [...........] I decided a waterproof mattress cover was what I needed. This does work. Even after the cat [urine] has sat for hours, the only issue I have is with the smell and there are pet products for that. But as far as the [urine] stain reaching my mattress, never been an issue. [.......................] Basically it's a good product for a cheap price. I would recommend this. see less

I bought this for my child who is going through the potty training stage and wanted to make sure if there was any nighttime accidents that the mattress would be protected. So far we have had one accident and it worked great. The mattress was safe and just had to wash the sheets and cover. see less
