I am very happy with this media center. The TV stand is particularly sleek and attractive, and all of the pieces are sturdy. To help organize some items that I wanted to hide, I purchased [...] large milk crate baskets on four of the shelves, and they fit perfectly, filling up the entire space with about one inch of space above.I was able to put together the furniture easily. The shelves are particularly simple to do. As others have said, the pieces arrive in three different boxes and do not need to be connected together as seen in the photo. see less

Like reviewer "SRB" said, my pieces came in 3 separate shipments, and they arrived quickly! I got the whole thing put together by myself in a few hours, and the end product is a beautiful new entertainment center for my living room! The shelves on the TV stand are removable, which I like because I removed the middle one and put my stereo down there, with my speakers up on the towers. The TV stand is very very sturdy, even with my 29" tube TV sitting on top of it (I know... I need to just get a flat screen). The only drawback at all about this set is that the towers are a liiittle bit wobbly, especially when they're sitting on carpet, but really once you put things on the shelves and weigh it down, you have zero problems. Overall, great purchase and beautiful set - especially for the price! see less

I order this and it was delivered as three separate items (with three separte tracking numbers) so perhaps that is what happened to the previous reviewer. Target also sells just the TV stand with out the side towers so maybe they ordered the wrong item. I found the items to be exactly as pictured, easy to assemble, and very sturdy. The finish is a very dark brown-brown. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a contemporary clean line media center, and it is not over-powering in the room. I would not recommend it if you have a large room. I have a 50inch tv and it fits just fine on the stand. see less
