I was looking for an inexpensive desk setup for an awkward space in my home and came across this! In addition to this unit I bought the matching "Storage Desk". The dark espresso color is beautiful, and the brushed metal optional hardware (included) really sets the desk off. Set up was a snap (about 1.25 hours being slow and careful)! The instructions were easier and clearer to understand [...]. The second page of the instructions clearly states this is a Sauder product (a leader in particle board furniture) and comes with a limited 3 year warranty. All the big pieces are labeled (some have letters printed on the unfinished edge of the particle board so you don't have a million stickers to peel off.Of course the backing is cardboard (what would you expect for [this price]?!) and the advantage is that there are three circular punch-out sections... two in the large storage area, one in the small open shelf above the drawers. This is fantastic because I have some of my computer peripherals (subwoofer, router, cable modem, backup hard drive) neatly tucked away toward the rear and all of the cords can be organized out the back.Disclaimer: I am very satisfied, but you get what you pay for. When I used "Beautiful" and "Sturdy" above, it is relative to the price point and material. I could have paid $300 at an office store for something that looked higher end or $1000 for sturdy real wood furniture. This was [a great price]. -- Great product, Target! see less

Even though it's fake woo ... see more

Even though it's fake wood, this storage unit looks pretty good. It's very heavy and solid, except for the back which is cardboard (like most cheap furniture). The assembly instructions were much better written than other build-it-yourself furniture I've bought at Target. Regular (not legal) hanging files with tabs on top fit great. Drawers have metal sliders with wheels so they open and shut smoothly. A good buy overall! see less

Note that the width of this piece is actually 34". {} but we measured it to be 34", it is not 33" --which the app and website state--. The size was an issue for us...just FYI. see less
