My husband has been saying that he wanted a smoker, however, I wasn't keen on the idea of having another outdoor cooking device to take up more space on our porch and in our shed, not knowing how often it would be used. We've had this one for about two weeks now, and he's used it twice. It does what is says....cooks meat in about 20-30 minutes with great flavor, and easy clean up & storage. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves to cook and experience different flavors.
If used properly, this cooker will help you make the best ribs and bbq chicken. I have never had better ribs or chicken at at any restaurant anywhere. I soak my ribs or chicken in a brine consisting of apple juice, water, kosher salt and brown sugar, for about 2 hrs. Dry the meat w/ paper towels and drizzle olive oil on meat and rub in really good. Take your favorite dry rub and rub into meat covering modestly. Grill meat turning frequently to get a golod color. Add water and a couple pinches of the wood chips to the drip pan in smoker. Place r/c into smoker and bake in oven at 325F. 1 hour for chicken and 2 hours for ribs. Remove from smoker and brush meat with your favorite bbq sauce and finish on grill. Be careful because the meat will be very tender.Good luck and happy bbqing!
