Some toys are more than worth their cost, and this Step 2 Extreme Coaster is one of those lasting values. It is durable, sturdy, well-crafted exactly the right mixture of fun, speed, and safety. From 3 to 9, every age group has delighted in it. Wears a path in our lawn, so must be moved regularly. It does get some speed behind it and needs a fairly long runway, as you really go! We've had a couple accidents of kids getting heels clipped as they are run down by too eager riders. All in all, well worth the cost and will probably last through our family and more! He is very athletic and balanced... yet Very cautious. He won't go near the rides at carnivals and such, but LOVES this coaster. He feels very secure and sure of the motion. I love that it is completely self operating in that he can easily walk the car back to the top, get in, and push off again. We bought this car for our son for his 1st birthday. Our 3 year old son already had a cozy coupe, so we wanted something special for our 1 year old and WOW did we do it right! This car has become THE favorite toy in our house. Both boys love playing in the car!! We love how easy the car is to push and we like that the push handle retracts. The foot tray slides in and out easily. The door is easy enough for our 1 yr old to open and the door is designed such that if anyone is being too rough in it, it comes off the hinge rather than breaking. You just pop the door back in place after the kids are done being rough. The car noises are a lot of fun too! The only thing I would change about this car is the music button - it only plays a few seconds of each song and we we don't really think that is enough, but we still love it and play with it every single day. At first my husband put the back wheels on wrong and it wouldn't work correctly, but once we realized the mistake it was an easy fix and worked perfect! Very quick easy to put together (if you put them in right) and the kids can zoom around inside the house on our tile, and outside on cement. I ordered it and it was delivered in record time. Assembly was minimal and very simple, which was a plus.This is really a very nifty design and concept! My son has been using it for a few weeks now and he appears to be getting the hang of balancing himself already. At this rate we will be getting him a big boy bike for his fourth birthday! We bought this yesterday. Our daughter is 13 months but has been walking since 9 months. The recommended age is 18 months and up but our daughter is really strong. So she learned how to grip on tithe handles within the first hour. We got her used to playing with it by letting er watch us push it around and I myself sat on it and played with it I'm 126 lbs and that thing is sturdy. So her legs arent log enough to push herself around yet. Assembles without hassle and the wheels are swivel wheels so it turns in all directions and it's soft unlike all the other ride on toys. The pillow on top doesnt stay jet packed but it's still soft and overall Awesome toy!!! see less

[...] Bought the Dino racer for my two year olds birthday after seeing the commercial on tv. He is tall but quite thin for his age so I was surprised when he couldn't stay on the seat. After taking a closer look, the plastic seat is very small and the rest of it is the downward sloping tail that promotes rear-end sliding. Don't get me wrong, for the 10 seconds he stays on he has a blast, but sliding down frustrates him that he will just get off it. I wish I had bought one of the other animals without a tail first. I couldn't imagine how this PlasmaCar ran but I had to find out and am I glad I did. My 4-year-old granddaughter just loves it. The instructions are so simple and I truly had doubts that it would actually run. She had no trouble getting it going and loves riding/driving it. No batteries! No motor! It's amazing! She had a toddler train that she outgrew but still wanted to ride. Now she has a new sleek ride. The PlasmaCar turns easily and even runs in reverse. She can even drive in circles. We believe in encouraging kids to "move it" and this manages that with fun. The car doesn't go if the rider isn't moving. The rider puts their feet on the foot pad area and their hands on the steering grips, that along with arms and body motion moves the vehicle. If there's a need for a quick stop the rider just needs to put their feet down on the floor. Coordination and fun mixed into one. Curiosity paid off. This was definitely worth getting. see less

He is unable to use it on his own yet (he's not yet walking; perhaps that core strength would help) but he is already able to push it around, gnaw on the antennae, and use it as a walker (though it's not meant to be used that way. I bought the wheely bug (cow) for my two children. The oldest is 2 and the youngest is 7 months. I knew the young one would be needing something lower to the ground while the older one would like it to fit him now. Based on the reviews and the description from the manufacturer, the "Small" would fit. Well, I advise against it. The "Small" size is for small children. My kids are not giants, but not tiny, so the small sized "Wheely bug" was indeed too small. I will be exchanging it for the bigger one and paying the difference. It works great, but it pains me to watch my son drag his knees while trying to push off with his feet. (He didn't seem to care!) So, if you have tiny to small kids, get the small sized one. Otherwise, get the large size. You will be happy you did. see less

I purchased this Smart Gear Balance Bike for my 3yr. old daughter through [...] and it was delivered right to my door. The ordering process was simple, fast and affordable! I am not the best with assembling things and this comes in two pieces, which was great! I was able to quickly assemble and my daughter was on her way. This bike is good for teaching your child to balance themselves in preparation for riding a two-wheeler without training wheels. I had heard of other methods of making a balance bike from a regular one, but as I said earlier a Handy Dandy Tool Person I'm not. Much too complicated!! The bike is very well built and sturdy enough to endure the beating my daughter has dealt it the last four weeks. I would recommend this item 1000 times over! see less
