I was anxiously awaiting to see whether he could out do himself with his follow up album and he sure did deliver!!! Just as in "Doo-Wops and Hooligans", there is a blending of different styles and influences. You wouldn't think some of it goes together but he manages to pull it off!! Whether you're a fan or not, you can't help but enjoy the ride. And what's even better are the extra 5 songs you get if you buy from target!! I love it!!
If you're looking for something different and authentic, give this a listen!
Like the former review stated, the Smeezingtons really out did themselves! From collaborating with big name producers and artists, to experimenting with retro sounds, Unorthodox Jukebox delivers an eclectic array of songs that will have you dancing, crying, jamming, and heartbroken, all within 32 minutes of the album! This album certifies Bruno as a cagefighter in the music industry, constantly collaborating and creating real music that reflects songs from the past to beyond.
Fans of his first album will be delighted to hear some new and returning genres that Bruno experiments with such as 80s retro, reggae, and the signature Bruno Mars ballad. Aside from his successful hit "Locked Out of Heaven" there are plenty of other songs to gravitate to like my personal favorites "Treasure", "When I Was Your Man", "Moonshine" and "Natalie".
