I agree with the previous reviewer...this rug is much more attractive in person! I saw this area rug at the store and fell in love with it. I was at Target picking up other smaller items for my new apartment but couldn't justify spending the money on this rug when I didn't NEED it. Well, I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I went back to the store a few days later and bought the smallest and more affordable size for my kitchen. I am so happy with my purchase! The colors are so rich which really adds a lot to the space. I have only owned it for a few weeks, so I can't comment on how well it wears yet, but it's in a high traffic spot and will be a true test of its durability. I am confident it will last a while as it truly seems to be a well made product. In fact, the reason I am back checking it out again is to see what other sizes this rug comes in. I am debating buying another small one if it comes in the size I'm looking for. see less

if i hadn't seen this rug at the store first, i never would have been so attracted to it. the online picture doesn't do this rug justice. the colors are so great.....so many in it and such deep, rich colors, it would be easy to change the color scheme of the room anytime and have the rug still have a place. one thing that i really like is the fact that it's NOT wool. we've had both polyester and wool rugs in our home. the wool rugs tend to shed wool fibers so the hardwood always looks dusty. our very inexpensive polyester rug lived under our kitchen table for years and withstood much abuse from our toddlers and canines. the polyester fibers don't "hold" liquid, where as wool absorbs it. if that could be an issue for you in your home, i would choose any polyester rug over wool. this rug is lovely. don't know how it will wear, but i'm sold. see less

I bought this rug in store and almost returned it after reading the previous review but loved the design so much I decided to try it out for myself. I'm soooo glad I did because I absolutely couldn't be happier with it! The picture online doesn't do this rug justice as it is stunning in person. The colors are rich blues and greens on a neutral background. It totally transformed my neutral living room and gives it a very calming and relaxed feel. I love how thick and high quality the rug is compared to others I've had before. I was nervous about possible stains with it being partially wool and having kids/pets but it cleans fine. I've had orange juice and grape juice spilled on it and both came out. Just blot and use a a little vinegar/water. I was also leery of the material being itchy for my kids to play on but its fine, they love it too! As far as pills needing to be shaved off I have not had that problem either. I have a Dyson & use the higher setting. see less

I had this rug for less than a week before it started pilling. I have had it a month or so now, and it is COVERED with pills. I have to us a razor and shave them off and it takes forever. We received this rug for our wedding, and placed it in a high-flow traffic area in our home. We have 3 dogs who run through the house, and while this rug doesn't always stay in place on our hardwood floors, it does well and doesn't show dirt. Like other reviewers, I took a leap of faith and purchased this rug sight unseen. I'd exhausted all the local stores and just couldn't find what I was looking for. I am happy with the purchase of this rug. All the colors are darker than the picture online. It's much more subdued, but still looks great. The softness of this rug was a pleasant surprise. I did buy a rug pad to help cushion the rug but really to help keep it in place. I found this rug cheaper on other sites, but ended up buying it here b/c I had gift cards. see less

I purchased this rug in 8X10 for our living room. The rug itself is low pile and quite thin, but the yarn is nice and soft. I realize that color settings differ on each computer, but one thing that stood out for me is when the rug arrived, the background tan color was darker than I had expected it to be. Also, the blue is more of a teal blue and the red is a very rich cherry red.This rug is great to add a splash of color to your room and is quite inexpensive in comparison to other rugs the same size. With olive green, orange, teal blue and red, you have plenty of accent colors to choose from.Unlike the other reviewer, ours did not have a strong smell and did not need to be aired out! see less

I am so happy I did NOT read the reviews before I bought 2 of these rugs in the store. I have had them for 2 years without any problems. One is under the dining room table and the other is in my living room. I have had no problems whatsoever. I love the colors and everything about them. I am actually ordering one now for my den. You DO need to put rug pads under them to keep them in place, but this is no different from any other rug I've ever had. see less

It's too bad the picture of this rug is so awful because this rug is awesome. I got it to put in the nursery for our baby boy and it looks great. It's colorful without being over the top. And it has so many colors in it that it really ties together all the many colors on his books and toys from around the room. That said, I could definitely see using this rug in a modern family room or an adult bedroom as well. It's great and you really can't beat the price. see less

I thought it was just me and a possible allergy to the wool, but my mother also started sneezing when we drove to return the rug to the store. I LOVE the rug's pattern...I wanted a modern look to help update our home. The colors were perfect a blue/grey and oatmeal. Unfortunatley, we've had it for about a month and it is falling apart. There are about 30 of the loops that have undone and are sticking up. I'm afraid if I just cut them off, it will keep continuing until there are holes. I ordered the 5x7 and it's a perfect size for the space that I needed it. My living room is on the small size and I just wanted a rug to make it a little more cozy and this rug did that. It is soft underfoot. I did put a rug pad underneath and def noticed a difference b/c I contemplated even doing that. I feel the rug pad makes it more plush. When I saw the rug on the website,I thought the pattern was gorgeous and would match my bedroom decor perfectly! I also have cats so I was trying to find something that would conceal the cat hair. I saw that a lot of people wrote about buying it for their living room or family room, but decided to give it a try in my bedroom anyway. It arrived 3 days after I places the order, which I thought was very fast. It fit perfectly and looked great, and was very soft to walk on like everyone else described. I don't know why someone wrote that the piling was low because it is medium, but fluffy and soft, which was hard to find for that price. The cats loved it too, one was sleeping in the middle of the room on it, I think she thought it was her new bed. I highly recommend it. I went to many stores before settling on this one, and it was definitely worth the wait. see less

I am so happy with this purchase! The delivery was quick and easy, the colors are true to the picture and it looked perfect in my living room! The only hard part was choosing which size to purchase and after reading other people's suggestions, I went with the largest size (7'8"x10'10") and am so glad I did! I had been hunting for a shag style rug for my living room, as I was re-decorating it completely top to bottom. I wanted something with color that would complement my decor. I found a few here and there, but nothing that grabbed my attention. I came across this rug and it gave me the "Wow" affect I had been looking for. I bought it that day, no hesitation! It is good quality, (I have dogs and grand kids and a 19 yr old!) I was happy that it was made in the USA! And it looks great in my living room! All pluses for me! I only wish it came in the 8x10. I knew I was going to return this rug the second I opened the shipping packaging. You can tell how flimsy it is just by looking at it in person. It is very thin and the fibers are sparse. I gave it three stars for style though because the pattern is attractive and the colors are vibrant, just as depicted online. But this just wouldn't work for us. This is one of those rugs that will bunch up and move upon the slightest touch. A real tripping hazard and hassle. see less

This rug is more greenish gray than the dark charcoal gray on my computer screen. The birds are kind of light sage green. It's still cute and I will keep the rug, but it's not great with my navy and lime green living room. Probably will live in the bedroom instead. The rug is not very thick so would benefit from a spongy rug mat underneath. More stars for the design than the quality for this reason. I was looking for something inexpensive and unusual, with a low pile since I have a dog that sits on my rugs rather than my wood floors. This will do the trick and for [$] if it lasts a couple of years, I'll be happy with it. see less

It fits perfectly in the area and it is so cushy. It has fabulous style and is a little modern and a little rustic all together. I purchased the 5x7 size, it is a beautiful rug and very soft shag. Imagine my disappointment when I got it home and unwrapped and unrolled this rug to find none of the edges were bound. It looked like a carpet remnant. When unrolled, parts of the carpet fiber came loose from the edges. When I looked at the back, it was very poorly made, some of the fibers went from one side of the rug to another side leaving a long loop on the bottom. When I returned it, I checked another one just like this in a smaller size and it was not finished on the edges either.. No binding on the edges, no way to hold the fibers in so it just kept unraveling. Even though it is a very good brand, a beautiful color, and very soft. I wouldn't take this rug if I were given it for free. This is definitely not a quality I've come to expect from Target see less

This rug is gorgeous and looks similar to some I've seen at Restoration Hardware, however, it is made up of a soft wool yarn fiber and does not seem to hold up under any type of foot or animal traffic. I was so excited when the rug arrived but noticed the fibers were already coming loose when I first unrolled it. I loved the style of the rug, but don't believe it's good for any type of space that's actually used. If you have a room that's just for looks, then this rug will be okay, but if people actually walk on it, I'm afraid you'll have trouble. see less

Rug is constantly coming unwoven with very little use/foot traffic. It is under our dining room table and even the slighted move of a chair results in a piece or two popping up. It's like the rug was woven with hundreds of small, poorly secured pieces. It's a beautiful, soft rug, but has major construction issues. I read the two reviews and decided to try this rug because it is visually great. It HAS to be vacuumed every single day if you even step on it because the black yarn transfers to the white, making little ugly grey yarn rolls. Way too much money for such poor quality. Bottom line, if you plan on never stepping foot on this rug, buy it. I have mine under a dining room table, nearly fully covered and not walked on and it still looks like a nightmare. Target! YOU DISAPPOINTED ME THIS TIME! see less

I needed something to warm up the floors in my lower-level office space, and this is the rug I settled on. Having never laid eyes on it I was nervous because the price was a little stiff for my budget in the size I needed. I am happy to say that this rug has exceeded my expectations for comfort, beauty, and practicality. I've had it for three months now, and I can't imagine my office space without it. It feels heavenly underfoot, and the look is luxurious without being pretentious. The only complaint I have is that it does "shed" a good deal, but regular vacuuming controls that to an extent, and it's something I'm willing to put up with given its positive attributes. I do wish that it was made in a wider variety of colors - if it was, I could see myself grabbing one for my dining room or family room as well. see less
