I ordered this because I am constantly standing at the sink and washing dishes and the foam seemed like a good idea. I suppose it would have been nice to just be able to sweep this off every night as I sweep the kitchen. Seems durable enough also. But this mat has a serious flaw. It's way too thick! Tripping hazard for my 2 year old...wait for me too! And don't forget the Mr who also tripped on it. Seems more like it gets in the way when you're trying to work in a pretty important area. It's a shame as I expect it would have lasted a long time. I just find it too annoying. Back to the store it goes. see less

I loved the color and feel of this rug in the store! I brought it home and put it in front of the sink and within 5 minutes, my husband and I both tripped on it. The sides don't taper down, so the whole rug sticks up about a half inch. I loved how it felt so soft and cushy, so I thought that I could just learn to be more careful around it. An hour later, I was cutting some veggies on the counter and turned to cross over towards the sink and tripped again big time, falling towards the sink with a cutting board and chef's knife in my hands. With a busy kitchen, including a husband that likes to play tag with a 5 year old, running through kitchen in the process, it's just not worth taking a chance on someone getting hurt. I am so happy I did NOT read the reviews before I bought 2 of these rugs in the store. I have had them for 2 years without any problems. One is under the dining room table and the other is in my living room. I have had no problems whatsoever. I love the colors and everything about them. I am actually ordering one now for my den. You DO need to put rug pads under them to keep them in place, but this is no different from any other rug I've ever had. see less

Very soft, just the right size for our small hallway, and the style is awesome. We had to put down carpet grip so it wouldn't slide on our wooden floor tho, but one has to do that with any rug on a wooden floor. see less

Was looking for a rug to place in the space where I meditate, read, and spend quiet time. This is the perfect soft color and style to complement the neutral furnishings and paint in the room. It is soft and a very low pile rug. It appears well constructed. I will have it in a low traffic area, so I expect years of wear. I do recommend adding a cushioned rug grip underneath, especially if you are placing on hard wood floors as I did. The rug does not have much cushion. For under a hundred dollars, I could not have found a better deal for my space. As others have mentioned, there is some gradation - lines in a lighter color - running through the background. I quite like this as it add some dimension to the rug. The blooms are a rusty brown, quite pleasing as a contrast. I'm very happy with the rug. see less

I purchased this rug in the 5x7 large, long runner, small runner and mat sizes, almost 2yrs. ago. I am getting ready to add another runner, the colors were perfect for my living rm. They have held up w/ 2 lrg. dogs, a cat, and my 2yr.old granddaughter. They're made in the USA, a ref. Plus!! I'd recommend these rugs. see less

I had been hunting for a shag style rug for my living room, as I was re-decorating it completely top to bottom. I wanted something with color that would complement my decor. I found a few here and there, but nothing that grabbed my attention. I came across this rug and it gave me the "Wow" affect I had been looking for. I bought it that day, no hesitation! It is good quality, (I have dogs and grand kids and a 19 yr old!) I was happy that it was made in the USA! And it looks great in my living room! All pluses for me! I only wish it came in the 8x10. I also bought the small scatter rug and plan to come back and buy two of the runners that match, for my hallway and to add to my living room. see less

I read the two reviews and decided to try this rug because it is visually great. It HAS to be vacuumed every single day if you even step on it because the black yarn transfers to the white, making little ugly grey yarn rolls. Way too much money for such poor quality. Bottom line, if you plan on never stepping foot on this rug, buy it. I have mine under a dining room table, nearly fully covered and not walked on and it still looks like a nightmare. Target! YOU DISAPPOINTED ME THIS TIME! see less

I began looking again and found this rug on-line and as luck would have it I found it in my local store. The quality is very good, the rug is soft and has a very attractive design that completes the look of my living room. I bought the 7x10 and the runner. The runner is really nice and soft. I'm still trying to get the area run to lay flat, but it's coming...will have to put a pad under it. would have been nice if they made the underside of the 7x10 like the underside of the runner. I compared this in store to a "[...]" one I thought I'd like better. This one was MUCH better looking in person. see less

I live in a rental townhouse with a faded red front door. This welcome mat is more like aubergine than red, and looks really great with the faded glory of my door. I put a pot of white petunias next to it and it really spiffed up the entrance. I hope the color of the mat lasts since it will get a lot of sun exposure. see less

I needed something to warm up the floors in my lower-level office space, and this is the rug I settled on. Having never laid eyes on it I was nervous because the price was a little stiff for my budget in the size I needed. I am happy to say that this rug has exceeded my expectations for comfort, beauty, and practicality. I've had it for three months now, and I can't imagine my office space without it. It feels heavenly underfoot, and the look is luxurious without being pretentious. The only complaint I have is that it does "shed" a good deal, but regular vacuuming controls that to an extent, and it's something I'm willing to put up with given its positive attributes. I do wish that it was made in a wider variety of colors - if it was, I could see myself grabbing one for my dining room or family room as well. see less
