We have owned this toy for a little over two years. My almost 3 yr old received it for her first Christmas. Two years and another toddler later, this toy STILL gets playtime in our house. I bought this for my son's first Birthday. He has been playing with it everyday for a couple months and it played a major role in helping him learn how to walk. Sme reviews say it has sharp edges and loose screws. I went over this thing with a fine tooth comb. Every edge is smooth and rounded, sanded to perfection. The screws are fastened tight and it is a very substantial and solid toy. It enhances motor skills and I love using the alphabet and animal references when teaching my son. And I can say the quality of the one I purchased is satisfactory. see less

We bought this for our son when he was 10 months old. At 13 months he still enjoys it, although I do hide it away every so often just to keep it fresh--bring it out again after a week or so and it's like a brand new toy again! For what it's worth, he LOVES the box it came in. I was about to recycle it about a month ago, but he got a hold of it. He plays with it every day...he gets busy pushing it around, playing peekaboo with the cat in it, dropping toys in through the holes in the sides. Seriously, the fun he has with the cardboard box combined with the toy itself is worth the price! see less

Got this toy for my 9 month old son for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it!!! It's a great product and he loves to chew on the balls and spin the green dinosaur that the balls pass through to get to the bouncing stage. He also thinks it's funny watching the balls bounce everywhere...and I mean everywhere(I think the sides could have been a little higher to keep the balls in better.) I've been working with him to throw the balls back in. I would have liked to have seen a storage space for the balls though, I am constantly chasing the balls down because he gets them out of the dino's belly and rolls them everywhere. I am glad there is a volume setting on it as well. Overall this was a great purchase for my little one! see less

Bought this for my 7-month old because he kept going after the "real" remote control. He is absolutely delighted with it and plays with it a lot. It is however very loud and the volume setting is one of the fun buttons that baby can change. The songs tend to get stuck in your head and now my older kids are singing them! see less

This is one of the best inventions I have ever seen. My Daughter told me about the Edu-Tiles [...]. Her son was born 9 weeks early and was weighed, 3 lb 3 oz. He is doing great and is going on 6 months old now. I ordered them for him for Christmas from the Target web site (which is very people friendly) and when they came and my daughter put them together right away.I was amazed at how durable and bright they are. We got this toy for our twin boys when they were 10 months old. At first they were a little to young to do anything with it other than put the beads in and out of the bucket. Five months later they are learning how to snap them together. They love wearing the beads as crowns or necklaces. My 3 year old nephew also loves to play with these. We got this for my 16 month old for Christmas, and he LOVES it! The only problem is that some of the continents are too hard to push. He ends up tapping it on the ground to get it started. We took it everywhere with us over the holidays - it's not too big that you can't take it with you. It has 3 different sets of songs and talking you can switch on and off. This is an amazing way to show a child how to write letters and numbers- the "computer" writes it, starting at the top, etc., and then the child copies it- a younger child can use his or her finger, and older child can use the stylus pen. Pen is attached, but at middle, so works well for left handed as well as right handed. We also have a well regarded paper handwriting kit, but when we do that it always feels like I am lecturing the kids, and it isn't much fun. I would still recommend the paper product because it is more precise, and kids have to get used to writing on paper, but this toy is a wonderful companion piece. I think this toy is best for introducing the basics (which is REALLY important) and also to use as a fun reward to use while learning how to write. Highly recommend! And at this price, we got 2- one for each child! Also wanted to add that we are extremely pleased by the quality of this toy- it is very well made- especially the touch screen- my kids think they have their own grown up tablet!!! FYI- volume control- the preset volume is too loud but you can lower it a lot- all you have to do is press the second reddish-purple button from the top left- and then use your finger to slide the volume bar to desire setting and press the check mark! It took us a while to figure this out! A+++++ for this toy!!!! see less

My 4 year old took interest right away! This is a fun way to learn to write! It teaches easily how to write letters, draw shapes and pictures with those shapes in it, and even teaches letter recognition. Easy directions to follow and the screen is a good size. Screen is touch screen, they are able to use the pen that comes with or their finger. This toy is bigger than the picture, it is about 8 inches in height and 6 inches wide, good size. My son feels like it's "computer." Fun! Vtech builds long lasting toys and Target seems to have the best price for this product! I definitely recommend this product. see less

I love learning toys but I was skeptical since our 3 year old son is very active and becomes bored easy, especially with learning systems. Our son was immediately engaged with this product as soon as I handed it to him off the store shelf! To my surprise he liked it more then just pushing a couple buttons and putting it back. I was even able to sit him in the basket while we shopped! He started exploring the five buttons, some with animals and sounds. Then he started tracing the dotted line letters on the touch screen. He loves the satisfaction of being able to write a letter with out Mommys help still with all the praise! The attached pencil is a must have feature! As well as the on/off sound button plus the volume & contrast button! Great learning product. see less

I really loved the idea of this play mat. You can put it together to fit in an oddly shaped space if you need to. It isn't very durable though. After just a couple of weeks I've noticed a lot of scratches on it. If you have a kid who's not super gentle this mat will be destroyed really quickly. We blacked out a walk-in-closet and gave the kids glow sticks, SO fun! But the light bulb should be much brighter, and less breakable and the batteries die quickly. This mat is great for tummy time, at home or on the go. We love that we have an interactive mat to keep our little curious george engaged. We have hardwoods and rugs throughout our home. This mat ontop of the rug is a nice cushion and our daughter doesn't seem to have any negative reactions when she rolls over. I haven't washed it yet, but am pleased that this is machine washable.Like the other reviewer this product is not accurately represented in the picture. We were looking for a mat that we could put on a floor for our son's tummy time. We have two cats, so we needed something that we could place in our living room just for the time our son is playing and put it away easily when we don't need it. First we got an Edushape square foam mat. But it didn;t work well, because every time we put it away all the pieces were falling out. This one was EXACTLY what we needed. It is LARGE (40X60-they should put the size on a description), very bright. The picture on this website is not a very good one-the other side of this mat has squares with very bright colorful and fun pictures, with different textures and sound and a mirrow. You can use it on both sides. YOU CAN WASH IT!!!It's an excellent product. It is poorly advertised on Target website. In fact it is very very very nice. The only thing I didn't like is the ractangular shape-I prefer a square one. But this is just a personal preference. I give it 5 stars! see less
