I got this for my 7 year old grandson and he loves it. But he has always been advanced when it comes to riding bikes or 4 wheelers. Use your judgement on that and if they haven't been riding a bicycle for a few years don't buy it. It is fast for a kid. And the battery lasts for a few hours. Make sure when there done to plug it in. And a helmet is a must. I like the fact that I can put it in the trunk to haul it around we even put it in the camper when we go camping wouldn't be able to do that with a gas powered one. It has a 150 lb weight limit and fits a kid that is 48" perfect. But they will soon grow out of it. He loves it and rides it everyday. It is even faster than a gas powered mini bike but because of the battery it dosen't last as long.
i bought this for my 7 yr old. although he loved it , i retiurned it for the next size up.its fast and looks like a real dirt bike .definately worth the money, he has a razor electric scooter and this is much faster

awesome but battery lasts about 1 yr and are expensive
My son got this one year from santa. He loved it! It worked great for the first summer but by summer #2 the battery was dead. I called the company and I ask you to do the same so you see I'm telling the truth. They told me batteries normally last only up to a year. Batteries are like [$]. I can't remember if that's the exact price but it's close. [...] Every [...] battery operated item we've had does the same thing. We had those big wheel things that were battery operated. My husband got them free from work and luckily he did. We threw them away. I will get gas powered next time. I have seen some reviews where the batteries have lasted longer. It's up to you if you want to take the chance.
Purchased this and it arrived in good condition. Easily put together and for about two weeks my kids had a blast. Then the chain broke. Razor didn't stock chain had to wait three months to get a new one. Bike sat in garage and the kids were bummed.Summer ended and they got about 10 rides on it begore it broke. Then they went to ride it this year and now the rear wheel assembly broke. Guess what part is out of stock. If you're going to make a piece of junk at least you should have the parts in stock to fix them. My kids were very dissapointed in this as am I. Big waste of money. I would go for the 650 not the 500. It seems to be made a little better although you still have the parts problem. Don't say I didn't warn you.
I got this bike for my birthday. I thought it wouldn't be that great of a bike. When I first got it- it was small. My best friend has a " [...]" I thought it couldn't compare, but when we final got the chance to ride it together I had a blast! This bike has a really smooth ride. Only bump on some surfaces. NO noise! Its does'nt ripe up the yard either! It goes faster on the pavement but also goes pretty fast on in the grass. I'm 5'4 (Five feet and Four inches) I weight around 120. Below are PROS and CONSPros:Smooth rideNo noiseFastGreat breaksComfortableBatery life is okay (****) I give it four starsNo hot engenCons:I needed a bost to help pull me up a hill (Pretty steep)Not AS fast as my friends bike :(ELECTRIC!
