I was really hesitant to order get one of these because they seemed way too good to be true. A pet that's so low maintenance, that you don't have to do anything for them to survive? Get real. Until I ordered one for myself! From day one, opening it from the brown, styrofoam filled box I was mesmerized by this little jewel. Mine came with 4 shrimp inside, 1 that is clear and likes to turn light pink from time to time, and 3 red. It is truly a thing of beauty, the white pebbles at the bottom contrasts nicely with the shrimp and the coral branch helps to finish the decor'. I'm a college student living in a dorm so this is the prefect pet to have on my study table because it inspires me when i'm working on schoolwork or just gazing at it out of boredom. The sphere is also suprisingly hardy. It survived a car crash on my way to college and all the shrimp are still going strong. Bottom Line If you're on the fence about getting one, do it, JUST DO IT. It's simply amazing. see less

I had one for a year & loved it. No work, great conversation piece. I left mine in direct sunlight when I went out of town for a week.. & it was super cold in the house.. They died. It was my fault. I want another. see less

I was skeptical about how this was going to arrive in one piece, but was pleasantly surprised. The Sphere arrived cradled in a large block of foam to heavily protect it during shipping. 4 little shrimps swimming around in their own little envireonment. They are kind of like a very upscale sea monkeys of your childhood, but I love it! They're fun to watch and I enjoy every minute of them! Great gift idea for a seinor or even kids. see less

Eco globe was a Christmas gift for our 8 year old granddaughter. The shrimp were dead when pkg. arrived and there wasn't enough time to replace. I am wondering how fragile this is. Also thought product was a bit expensive. see less
