The couch itself is great. I initially put it together backwards as the directions aren't the best, but once I had everything figured out I slapped it together in 30 minutes. It's looks absolutely great! The couch is firm, but comfy, and I can stretch all the way out on it. It's makes for a great modern piece for my apartment.
This sofa is at a lower price point than most loveseats at Target, or elsewhere for that matter. I was looking for something I could fit up and down a narrow corridor in my older house to the finished attic, which is the guest suite. I wanted something that could modulate into an extra sleeping space, which this does very nicely, without breaking my back like futons do. Somehow this sofa has the same kind of mechanisms of a futon but functions way better than them. It also has much more grownup lines, obviously. It is more comfortable than a futon and would be great to sleep a couple of kids or my cat, it seems. The colors are very good neutrals - true mocha and chocolate colors...nice to see the new charcoal option as well. It was not the most intuitive for me to put together, but I live alone and it is a two-person job regardless of one's expertise. I think with two heads, you could do it well. I have lots of engineers at my disposal, so I borrowed one for this. We did not have the issues of the wrong sized holes mentioned in the other reviews. Considering ordering another one. The style is very neutral and neotraditional, so the lines work very well in a lot of spaces. Very happy with it...and I'm very critical.
This futon worked perfect in my husband's man cave which is all about the Chicago Bears. The color is close to navy & it complimented all our orange & navy Bears items. We hope to bring it downstairs when we have a crowd watching the game. Go Bears!
