This is a great hoop everything about it great, the base is not too flimsy at all its absolutely fine, the quality is great, the packaging was very organized, it is not hard to put together at all, I am 15, took me about 3 hours, make sure all bolts and screws are snug to tight,when your done putting it together its so worth it, great looking hoop. People who complain about putting it together are just too lazy, it's a great hoop for the price. see less

As far as difficulty putting it up, my box had a DVD that goes hand in hand with the Instruction manual and gives a great visual of the steps. When I got it out of the box I was impressed with the quality of the hardware - it is a sturdy, well-designed system. The parts all fit perfectly. There are numerous parts - perhaps over dozen different sized bolts, and dozen different nuts, and a multitude of other pieces. However the instruction manual is clear, with a page of part numbers and life-size pictures of each item...so if you are careful and observant, you'll always get the right item. BTW-some bolts were hard to find - inside some plastic tube parts - I nearly thought we short of some parts. A few tips/ 1. Do not overtighten the bolts - they are big sturdy bolts and with enough pressure you can change the shape of the steel post. Just get them tight...they'll hold. 2. Fill the bass with water and two gallons of non-toxic anti-freeze - RV/Marine anti-freeze available at most auto parts stores. see less

Son likes it. I thought he would enjoy the goal and pitch back but he prefers the Pitch back. It really works and that is neat. Negatives: the soccer goal does not sit on the ground evenly, so it rocks back and forth. The netting was so tight, that it pulls the poles in such a way that the goal is lopsided left to right and top to bottom. This is a big negative since it tips. see less

We have four children, ranging in age from 7-13, and they are pretty rough on the sticks, and the two sets have held up great with no problems, as well as the nets. I bought this for 3 young boys in June 2009, and to date, Nov. 2009 it is still in great and new-like shape. We live in a 4 seasons area and it is outside weathering just fine. It is reasonable for a household on a budget, but NOT a "cheap quality" product. We also get up to 90 miles an hour winds; and as long as you fill the bottom with water and keep it filled up (which I believe water is heavier than sand, rock, etc.?) it rarely tips over. The company would not replace the backboard because it was due to an "act of nature"... Not many other ways for an outside basketball hoop to be harmed, is there? My son is heartbroken! Mylec has a great product here with the "Mylec Hockey Pro Style Mini Goal Set". This is our Grandson's favorite toy besides his hockey stick and puck. This is our 2nd net; we purchased his 1st net last year as a Christmas gift, and of course he needed one for our house when he visits us. It's virtually the 1st toy he looks for when he walks through our door. The size is perfect for his size and our house. It's small enough even when assembled that it dosen't take up a lot of storage space, yet is ready for him to enjoy at a moment's notice. The mini-sticks are good for a left or right-handed shooter, and the foam ball won't hurt walls, floors, or the player. The sticks were a little smaller then I would have liked, but no biggy. One stick is a lefty stick, which I suspected it was, so if you need more then one righty you'll have to purchase an extra one. This is the best batting tee. My son received this as a gift when he turned 3 and could already use it then. He is tall for his age, but it adjusts very well and is so sturdy. The rubber base makes it safe for when he misses. His batting has improved and a year later, he still loves it. I would definetly recommend this one over the plastic ones available. If you buy the larger softball sized tballs it's easier to hit and use a big bat for younger ones. see less

This goal is a nice size for hockey, small for soccer, but not too bad for just playing around in the backyard. My daughter loves having it rather than our little orange cones that we used as a goal before. I was able to put it together myself without any issues. There were a couple of poles that were harder to put together than others, but I suppose that will help it not come apart when playing. It's sturdy and folds easily. I kicked the soccer ball hard into it and it stayed up and together. see less
