My first GPS watch was a Garmin and after over 1200 miles my Garmin died. While I was satisfied with my Garmin I was looking for something a bit more user friendly and less expensive. The Nike Sportswatch fits the bill. After a couple weeks of running with my new watch I have no complaints. The features are easy to access from the watch itself or using the nike plus website. I am also a fan of the nike plus website as it is very user friendly also and motivational. I would highly recommend the Nike Sportswatch for the price, ease of use and it also doubles as a nice everyday casual watch.
Early adopter, though I did not know that in April 2011. So there were some Nike+ site growing pains and GPS as well as firmware updates to go through but through all of this the product performed well enough. I actually get better tracking by comparision than smart phones. Pricing was great for this marketplace also. Only item would be to offer model with slightly larger band, or ability to somehow extend, I know this is a personal thing but you wouldn't know unless I told you.
This is a great GPS running watch. I sync'ed the watch to NikePlus as soon as I got home to get the latest GPS info and then went out for a run. It linked to the GPS in about 30 seconds on the first time. I then ran on a track on the inside lane for exactly one mile. When I got back home I downloaded my run to the NikePlus web site and mapped my run...very accurate. It was within 5 feet of my run. I was very pleased at how accurate the GPS was. After my run I went to the pool and swam 300 meters. Watch was easy to see underwater and worked great.
I also really like how easy it is to read the time. Very large numbers make it very easy to see without slowing down.
You can not beat the price. This is a great value.
