OMG! I love this product, I just did a major chop to damanged hair and I'm still in a state of shock, but it needed to be done, so I bought this stuff, and I love it. I actually washed my curly hair and didn't have time to style so I put my wet hair in a big twist and clip and went on my way. I left my hair like that ALL Day and I just took out the clip and my hair is so soft and shiny. AMAZING!!!!! Will be tyring other products within the line. see less

I recently discovered Shea moisture products. I have tried several Shea Moisture products, but the thickening moisture mist is one of my favorite. I do not have thin/fine hair, I have natural 4b/c hair, but the mist really makes my hair so soft and it really smell so good. I am not a big fan of the Shea Moisture coconut line, but the yucca & baobab, and the organic raw shea butter line is better for my texture of hair. This is a gr8 product! see less

All I can say is OMG!!!! This product really works. I am a African American woman with thin fine hair and this is the only product that I have found to give my hair volume and that really thickens my hair. I never give reviews but I felt that my fine, thin hair ladies needed to know that there is hope out there. Thanks soooooooooooooo much target for selling this product. It is truly a miracle worker for fine thin hair and it also smells great. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. see less

1. I use this to puff my fine, tightly coiled hair. After co-washing, I section, detangle, apply a fingertip-sized blob of this gel, comb through, and twist. Repeat until all hair is in twists. 2. I don't use any other products with this gel. It's a leave-in, sealant, and styler all in one. Not only that, but a little of this product goes a long way. 3. To finish, I use my hard bonnet dryer until it's 85 percent dry, style and allow my hair to finish air drying. OR I can allow it to air dry only then style. Either way, I get the same results. 4. Results? Super shiny, super soft, well-moisturized, but not wet or sticky, great hair. see less

Ladies, if your hair is gooey after using this product then you are not using this product correctly. I have thick afro hair and this product works great for moisturizing, which is necessary to get curl definition. First I mist my hair and then mix a dime sized amount of this product with a sufficient amount of the Shea Moisture Curl Milk. I then rub this through my misted hair very well and use my fingers to shape my hair into the desired style. It instantly moisturizes and defines curls. When products are very concentrated as this one, you only use a dime sized amount. Try this technique and see how well you like it!!! see less

I bought this product with skepticism, but after the first use, I'm loving it. My hair is 4c, very coily, and it shrinks a lot after shampooing. I wasn't expecting this to work for my hair, but this product is perfect for my hair because it moisturizes and gives a lot of shine and great curls. I only use a small amount about the size of a quarter, and it defines the curls. I get great compliments when I use this in my hair. This is going to be a constant product for my hair, along with the curl milk and the spray mist. It smells really good too. see less

I use this mist every morning to "wake up" my 20 month old Sisterlocks after I remove my satin cap. It's light weight with a great smell. Because coconut oil is my oil of choice, the Shea Moisture scent compliments the coconut oil. I does not make my locks stiff, but it does give them a light sheen. Please do not stop making this hairspray it is the BEST!!!!It holds very well with out being sticky or stiff. When I want to run my fingers through it at the end of the day I can do so without getting my fingers stuck in stiff, gunky hairspray. Your hair still stays soft and not weighted down. I was a bit unconvinced that OIL is what I needed to put on my thin bleached long hair since it would weight it down and make it look greasy.Not the case at all. I rub one or two little pumps of this oil between my hands and then slid it down my brushed hair from my chin down. Its makes my hair smooth and friz free, and it looks so healthy! A month after my purchase my hairdress asked me what I had been using on my hair because it looked and felt healtheir than it should. After my hairdresser used Moroccan Oil on my hair I decided that would be a good idea but didn't want to pay $40. I am middle aged & find my hair is drying out & not as shiny so I need to add something when styling as well as to brighten it up between washes. I searched around & found Umberto Roman Oil which I think is even better than the Moroccan Oil. It is a bit lighter so it still gives you moisture but is more absorbant, smells better & is reasonably priced. It never makes my hair look greasy. This hairspray works like it says it does! I have thin hair, and this hairspray made me get big volume, which i love! I get a lot of compliments on my hair now. I had never bought hair-care products in the ethnic hair-care section before. I was very concerned that I would spend a lot of money on this product and it wouldn't work for me. I gave it a try because it was buy-one-get-one and because the quote, "including white gals too!", on the bottle. I was desparate to find something that would keep the frizz from my shoulder-length, curly hair-something that would not dry crunchy but soft. THIS IS THE PRODUCT I WAS WAITING FOR! I apply about 1 T. to wet-not damp-hair, diffuse upside-down while scrunching until my hair is slightly damp and a bit "sticky". Then I let it air-dry and style. Curls are soft-never any crunchies or frizz. I'm getting used to the smell, it's actually growing on me, since I love the results so much! I've never seen any of the white reside discussed above-but it could be because of my light hair color. I've never in my life spent this much on a hair product-but I'm online looking for more because it was worth every penny! see less

Came quickly, but the caps were either loose to begin with or worked loose in shipping, with the result that it was all over the outside of the tube. When I tried to follow the contact info to tell Target, there was no way to email them unless I wanted to return the item, which I don't. So be warned, it may be messy when it arrives see less

I've used Kinky Curly, Carols Daughter and Shea Moisture, plus most of the Miss Jessie products and my overall favorite is the Buttercreme. I can use the Buttercreme moisturizer with all the other products after my hair is dry for a shine boost. I also like Quick Curl and Curly Meringue. Going to try Stretch Silkener next, but Buttercreme is a must. My hair is worth the cost, plus I don't spend money on a hairstylist. see less

This stuff is great!! I'm as fair as you can be, and not mixed at all but this product works wooooonders for me, My hair is BIG,FRIZZY and CURLY. But this product makes it only the last. I agree with another review, it's best to only use after you shower as it will make your hair greasy if you build it up. It also works miracles to put liberal amounts in if you're planning to straighten the [heck] out of your hair (which I occasionally do.) But 99% of the time I'm wearing my hair natural! I put a quarter sized amount in (added with a teensy bit of frizz serum) and I get those big, nicely defined curls I always wanted. I have 3c curls but I got some SERIOUS body in my hair and lots of damage and this is the only product I've used that works-that works WELL. I strongly encourage buying this if you have huge hair, even if you're super white lol. WOOT WOOT for Ms.Jessies-you saved my life. see less
