One of my grandson's received this for his birthday. Children and adults had great fun with the set so I am sending them to my other grandson's for Christmas. Down side they do take 5 AAA batteries each,2 in each remote & 3 per car, but what the heck, they're worth it for the fun factor.
This item is overpriced & should have been built into the LeapPad to begin with, but since it wasn't, it will ultimately pay for itself in wasted alkaline batteries plus the time it takes to change them. The convenience factor is notable since you can just plug the unit in to charge -either w/ included AC adaptor or separate car adaptor- & don't have to remove skin, unscrew battery compartment, etc. Also, unit CAN be played while plugged-in but battery will not charge until powered off. Overall, it's a necessary accessory for LeapPad if it gets used much.
Love the recharge system, for both in the car and at home. Easy to work with for me and my 4yo. Had it 6 months, going strong. It was a bite at the beginning -- higher price point than I wanted when I was buying the whole kit, but definitely worth it for ease and not needing batteries!
This is a MUST if purchasing the Leap Pad 2....not sure why it isn't included in the purchase tho. Still would have bought the Leap Pad for a little more if it included this feature...especially now knowing how many batteries the thing runs through in a short amount of time.
This is a fun and modern take on the traditional twister game. It lets up to two players twist around on colored play mats as they watch Twister Dance flash colors based on song beats. It comes with a few pre-loaded songs, but you can hook up your ipod or mp3 player and play any song you want so this could even be used as a portable speaker for ipods and mp3 players. Although it is a fun game overall, it may get kind of boring after a while, especially for older kids and adults. Also, the play mats are kind of small and may move around a lot on the floor.
I watched my 10-year-old daughter play with this. She loved it. We had a few younger kids over that day, as well, and one was just a 2-year-old baby, but even he loved the toy. The lights and music kept his attention for a long time. I do wish the buttons were more easily marked, and the twister dots kept sticking to the kids feet, but overall they loved it and it was very easy to use.
My kids and i both had a great time playing this game.My daughter was so psyched because she loves any game that involves dancing and this was just perfect for her! What we both liked best was you can use your MP3 player along with it.i do not think there is anything that needs to be improved but if they make a newer model some day it would be fun to see if they could add some disco type lights just for added fun to the atmosphere. My son been talking about a computer and when he got this he was very happy. I like it because it teaches him a lot more then what he knows. So I would say yes get it. It has 2 languages English and Spanish!
This is a fantastic toy that has lasted years. Keep the music cards dry, they will stick together & peel if left stacked wet, & they are a wonderful learning tool. The water whistles are a little tricky but VERY cool sounding. We never used the drum for anything but a storage bucket.
Got this for my 6 year old nephew for Christmas and he's been hooked on it ever since. The commands are clear and it's easy to adjust the volume - just turn the "spin it" up or down. The different modes offer different ways to play depending on the number of people & style of play desired. With the kids, we just enjoy trying to beat the high score by being in charge of one command each. Plenty of fun!
My 2 year old daughter is in absolute love with her Big Hugs Elmo, besides always wanting to hug him she also loves falling to sleep to the song he sings which is a big plus for me! Our only problem is every time she takes Elmo with her cousins they fight over him so we might have to buy one for an upcoming birthday haha.
My son was extremely excited when Big Hugs Elmo arrived at our door. As soon as we took him out of the box he shrieked out of excitement which was a huge plus for me. Elmo sings and dances with your child, uses their imagination to pretend to be an astronaut/frog/horse, he also pretends to be asleep when laid on his back. We love everything about this toy and don't have any big complains except for it not coming with batteries which isn't a huge deal for me and the fact that the hands are very fragile and break easy. I would recommend this toy to anyone one who wants to see their child have a good time.
I receive the BigHugsElmo from a site called [...] to test out for free. From the moment my necie and nephew saw the toy they was full of excitement. They love to sing along with Elmo and play with him, they favorite part is when you turn Elmo up side down and he knows it, they laying everytime they do it. I don't think the toy is design for babies but my 3 month daughter seemed to enjoy it because she was smiling and laughing at him. The only Problem I had with this toy is getting the battery pack open, and I think the arms cant withstand the little grabbing on it and holding it by the arms because Elmo hugs aren't as tight like it was fresh out the box. But overall its a great toy.
I got this set from my lego store and built it as soon as I got home, this is magnificent as Lego set and as something that looks cool.
PROS: I love how you can rearrange all the land and caves. The dirt house was awesome to have in there and the lava waterfall and everything. In my set when I finished I noticed two Peices that were AN EXTRA PRINTED HEAD! So I got one micro mob (creeper) and two Steve's, I had to use extra spare Peices to build my other Steve but enough of that, to the cons.
CONS: Something that bugged me was how all the 1x1 squares are always rigid kind of and never straight but that can be easily fixed.
MOBS: This set comes with one creeper and one Steve (two for me), I would have liked a cow or something but that didn't happen. Also the detail for the faces is nice and they're printed, I especially like the creeper one.
SET ITSELF: The whole thing is just awesome and for a price like $35.00 where I got it and probably one of the best cussoo sets that will ever come out until the DeLorean (which is in the mail right now) , you can also make a multi level world if your up to it. All around great set and cool if you like minecraft. It's a 4/4

This is a good set and ideal for a desktop or a bedside table ( I use the Architect Empire State Building beside my bed ) because it has small parts and is brittle.
Endless Things to do with this..
4 parts, mix it up!
U Get A Brick Separator! YAYAYAY!
Creeper, everyone loves creepers ( hug one )
If you play minecraft you will know : Steve = 2 meters Tall( 2 blocks), 1 block = 1 meter but,
In this LEGO Set
Steve is 6 tiles high,
1 block is 2 tiles, it should be 3.
Little tiles get lost!
After A While, you want : more mobs, more biomes, more EVEYTHING, swords picks. everything.
Overall I Rate This Set 8/10
