My one year old son loves his train and animals, and this is not annoying like most battery-powered toys. Also, even though our first koala doesn't work right, online customer service was superb and is making it right (and then some) with zero hassle for me. We purchased this zoo train for my nephew's first birthday, along with the zoo, some animals, and the safari truck. Honestly, the only reason we bought it was because it was the only way to get the white tiger and koala figures, but it is also a nice addition to the zoo. My nephew also has the St. Patrick's Day and Easter trains, and does seem to prefer those to this one, although that might be in part because he is totally confused by the ferris wheel, even when we move it for him. He also doesn't seem to understand that he can push or pull this one just like his other trains. Personally, I do think the other trains seem to be made of sturdier plastic and it's harder to tip them over than this one. My nephew does like the sounds that it makes when you push down the engineer's seat and I think he will probably play with it more when he is a little older. For now, it's cute and gives him two more animals to play with. see less

This piece of the zoo talkers set is not as sturdy or durable as the rest of the zoo talkers pieces. Also wasnt impressed that that the white tiger says the same thing as the orange. It doesnt even recognize they are two different pieces. This piece of the set was only bought to get the koala bear. But the rest of the zoo talkers set is great!! see less

My son received this for Christmas along with other Thomas merchandise. This by far was his favorite and he sat and watched this go around the track for what seemed like hours. He is 3 and has a hard time pushing the on and off button. Also it doesn't have enough power to push anything else up a hill, only itself. Its fun and so far the battery has lasted a long time. see less

my 2 1/2 yr old LOVES dinosaurs and he saw this in the store and we just had to get it! i opened it up and put it all together and he played with it for like 5 minutes then took the train and buddy and went over playing with his other dinosaurs. the track is not very big, but has cool dino foot prints on it and the train is not motorized so he was a little bored with that and the mountain was cool to him for just a few minutes... but he's playing with the buddy figure ...who only has one hole in his foot so he didn't fit on the train pegs... and the train. he's kind of bored with this after only a few minutes... wish i had bought the bigger dinosaur train set they had at the store, but when i got home and read the reviews, i'm glad i didn't. i don't know abt this... see less

I realize that these Trackmaster sets are not for everyone and that's what should be considered before purchasing because these are quite pricey and not always too great as far as connecting the sets but either way it doesn't stop me or my 2.5 year old from our obsession with these train sets the instructions could be more clear for this set but with great patience i got it together like previous reviewers said the track pieces do not connect nor fit very well but I or my son DONT CARE as long as im there to keep fixing it which obviously i am since I enjoy playing with my son constantly putting the pieces back together is well worth the fun but my destructive son is part the problem also which should be considered this set is rather large so of course a kid running around it is bound to mess it up a few times while playing with it so i say all around entertainingly fantastic see less

My son has SEVERAL of these sets, and this one just joined the ranks. All of them have been decent, durable quality, and YES, are a little crazy to put together, but the reality of the situation with my son, and I would think with most kids, is that they have the main set up for a while, then it gets unassembled and put away. When the come back to it, their own creations come out and the set usually never makes the "set" set up again. I buy these toys because my son LOVES Thomas and his own creations. So I give it 5 stars all around for being awesome toys, decent quality, [...]. Even better. see less

It was fun and excited toys. My kids streaming when the train was falling down from bridge. Assembling is not that hard if you follow the instruction carefully. Took parts out, laid it on the floor following the picture then put it together. The manufacturer does not recommend customer disassemly it when all towers were put together. But with little handy skill and patient you can take it out. The motorised train with trailer is too weak to go up the higher rail and specially at curves. see less

My 3yo received a Circo train set almost exactly like this one and he LOVES it. He can put the tracks together easily to make different shapes, the trains fit nicely and smoothly on the tracks, and the set is very durable wood. Would highly recommend for little train lovers. see less

as the one in the store, but my son LOVES it! We aren't big fans of Thomas and wanted something we could add to inexpensively. Ours came with 5 trees, a train station, two signs, an engine and 2 cars. It's so easy to add to, since the extra trains are only [$]. Our 2 year old makes his own shape tracks and it's easy for him to put the pieces together by himself. Overall, we really love this set!! see less

I purchased this set in the store for my 2 1/2 year old for Christmas. The tracks are lightweight but seem pretty strong. It came with different colored trains than the picture shows. It also only came with the tracks, trees, signs and trains only. The directions also shows that the track can only be arranged in two different layouts. Figure 8 and the oval. My son will take them apart and connect them in other ways too. He connects it to the track that came with his train table and it works good. The pieces don't always fit tight, and sometimes the train gets caught between the pieces where they connect. The grooves on the track are not that deep, so sometimes the train "derails" off. Overall, I think it is a good purchase for the price. My son has two other brands of trains that fit nicely with this. He will sit up there and play for a long time with this. It is very entertaining and he plays with this toy longer than any other toy he has ever had. see less
