A little smaller than I thought, but still absolutely perfect. Anyone who says this piece of furniture is difficult to put together, obviously has a serious reading problem. It's no more difficult than putting together LEGO's pay attention to the instructions, and it goes together fine. This is the 3rd Carson Espresso collection item in our home, and we plan on purchasing more to go with this piece in the family room. The other pieces have been just book shelves. My husband and I needed a replacement when we moved from a rental house to an apartment. This was PERFECT for the space we needed to put the tv stand! It took some time to put together, about 2.5 hours or so, but it was very easy to put together! My husband was only frustrated with the angle they wanted him to screw some of the screws in. However, we did find a simple solution, though it did require my assistance. The quality of the piece is pretty superb for the price! We did opt to use the optional chrome/silver drawer pulls that come with it and LOVE the way it looks! Overall, do not be afraid to purchase this tv stand! see less

Had been searching for an affordable and functional wood or wood-like corner stand for more than a year. Finally found this one on target.com. It's a very nice, solid piece made of actual wood! Assembly was moderate. A two-person job. My only negative is the packaging. By the time it arrived at my door, the packaging was falling apart. Also, there were a few dings on the pieces, but fortunately, you can't really even see them once it's assembled. Overall, I am very pleased with it. see less

I bought this stand for my 32" TV, and it fits perfectly. It's very nice quality, made of wood, with a beautiful finish and color. It took me almost three hours to put together however, and the packaging was missing the flat head bolts that attach the drawer pulls to the drawers - but those holes fit Anthropologie knobs perfectly. It holds all the other electronic equipment quite nicely with wires going round the back, and holds my entire DVD collection. see less

My 13 yo put this together in less than 2 hours. Looks great, is sturdy, and is deep enough and has a lip to limit tip overs. 1. Well packed and pieces clearly marked. You do need to make sure you orient what is in front of you to the diagrams in the instructions to avoid errors. 2. When you work with particle board you have to get it right the first time - start screws by hand, go slowly when screwing things in, snug each fastener first, and don't over-tighten - keeping these in mind will help you a lot. 3. When you go to put on doors, loosen the set screw so you have room to work or even separate the hinge The doors on ours then required no further adjustment and open/close nicely and quietly. I would encourage those who don't assemble this stuff routinely not to be worried that putting it together will be a difficult or all day affair. see less

Pieces are not drilled with the necessary holes. Top piece was supposed to have 4 screw holes, so you can fasten it to the base with 4 bolts. Only 2 holes existed. I had to drill my own holes and use Gorilla Glue to reinforce the fasteners. see less

The dimensions said this cabinet was 15 inches deep -- but that is ONLY the top. The shelf, however, is barely 13 inches deep (the top overhangs the rest of the unit by one inch on every side).I was counting on the 15 inch depth to handle the new cable box/DVR. That box is 13 inches deep, and with cords bunching in the back, the box doesn't fit and sticks out two inches in the front. Otherwise the unit assembled very easily and looks great. see less

I bought this tv stand because I was redecorating my room and wanted to change up all my furniture. It took me a few hours to build but was not to difficult. The look is great and for a small room I think it goes perfect. As people said it is a little wobbly on carpet but my carpet is pretty hard so it doesn't shake to much. If I would have read the reviews before I probably would have taken the bottom off and just let it lay flat but for my situation it doesn't shake enough for me to be worried as I am pretty carefull with my furniture. Also the drawers did take some time to get in but be patient and it will go in. Overall great tv stand for a small/midsize room. see less

I decided to spend a little more than I planned for a TV stand, and boy, what a good decision it was. This stand looks so classy! Really chic. I like how it hides all my stuff behind the glass doors. I did set it up by myself, which understandably, made it more difficult. At first, I was concerned because nothing appeared to be tightening. I'd screw in the screw as much as I could on both sides, yet the board would still flap back and forth. However, once you have all the pieces in, they support each other and everything will be tighter. I put an old fashioned 20 in. tube tv on it, and it's fine. So pleased! see less

I just got this TV stand. My husband and I put it together in about 2 1/2 hours. There are a lot of parts, but I found it no worse to put together than any other "assemble it yourself" piece I've bought. All pieces are labeled and the instructions were detailed. It may look overwhelming when you first open it, but we had no problems at all. The drawer and cabinet doors lined up well, but they are adjustable, so if yours doesn't the first time, don't worry! The materials were beautiful, no scratches or cracks. I don't recommend buying online, you never know what happens during shipping. Overall it is a beautiful piece for the money, and looks like a more expensive piece of furniture. see less

Don't buy it online, we got our in our target store for [$] It is NOT hard to put together if you can follow an instruction booklet and especially if you have a power screwdriver, but it is not required. Once it is together, the glass doors look really nice and the finish is beautiful. You can't even tell it is a "wood composite" It has a nice espresso/black finish. It even comes with a marker to fix any nicks etc. The drawer is huge and the storage space inside is spacious. The only thing I don't like is that the back panel has two oblong holes for wires etc. that you can see through the glass doors if you don't have anything covering it so I had to put something there so you don't see the white wall behind it. Let me start with the star deductions. One star for minor shipping damage, packaging could be better. Upon opening I could see that during shipping this unit had been dropped and the packaging was insuffucient to protect the product (minor damage was to the rear of the unit and not noticeable after assembly). Another star for a flaw in workmanship. After inspecting the pieces, I noticed a flaw from the manufacturer, the flaw appeared to have been there before the finish was applied and shipped anyway.I don't build furniture, but I am a craftsman and part of my job is assembly work. This unit goes together well, pieces fit well. For those of you new to assembling furniture, well be cautious, don't over tighten fasteners and follow the instructions closely (look for the letter stickers on the pieces). Unit came with some extra hardware. Instructions were adequate with illustrations. My unit's doors didn't line up correctly. Hinges are low quality. I replaced them with a set from a local home improvement store that are adjustable [...]. This solved the issue.For the money, it looks great, meets my expections but could be better. see less

This is not a bad product but it lacks in quality in the finishing details. There are areas were the stain wasn't applied or was missed in the manufacture of the product. In addition, my cabinet received a few blemishes in shipping. I contacted the manufacturer, Winsome Trading, for some stain to repair the cabinet and their response was laughable. The manufacturer is without a clue regarding the finished product that they wholesale to Target. If you order it then be prepared for some inconvenience. Would I recommend it to a friend? We recently got rid of a large armoire, hung our tv on the wall and wanted to smaller unit to help make our small family room seem larger. This piece is perfect! It doesn't stick out from the wall too much. All of our equipment fits on the shelves perfectly and we keep Wii remotes/games on one side and DVDs on the other side. this met our need for a corner TV stand perfectly and it fits our style great. cottage/french country. however, it was a bear putting it together...first the pieces were mislabeled, once we figured that out everything went smoothly until we had to put the top on...the connecting screws were tough to align and it took two of us to work it into place, it almost felt like it was warped on top or something because we would get one side adjusted and as soon as we started to push down on the other side the first side would pop up...so frustrating. we got some pliers and pulled the screws to straighten them to meet up with the holes. the hinged doors were just as difficult, finally my husband just decided to remove the bottom hinges and put them on after fitting the top hinges. worked great. Also, the box it comes in is super heavy. It was left on the front porch and couldn't move it, so unpacked it right there. Love the final outcome but definitely get ready to work to put it together. see less

The Pictorial instructions were not easily interpreted and slowed down the assembly process. We bought this unit to support our new LCD TV and to house our stereo receiver. It arrived quickly, shipped flat. It arrived in perfect condition. Each piece was fully wrapped in soft plastic padding. Assembly was easy using a stud and cam system. No missing parts. The finish is excellent and the unit is sturdy. Some components are solid wood; some seem to be wood veneer over particle board. We consider this "Colonial" style and it fits in nicely with our other oak living room furniture. Behind the 2 hinged doors a shelf in included. We thought this was going to be flimsy and look cheap. No so. We really like it, and it was affordable for us. see less

I'll chalk this one up to a lesson learned. Having looked at several options, I did not noticed that the finish was "paper veneer" and not wood. This is your typical particle board, complete assembly required, cheaply made stuff. The package is very heavy and since I ordered online, by the time I unpacked it and discovered just what it was, I felt it would be too much hassle to return it. We're using it in a child's game room, so it will do, but I am disappointed I paid so much for this product. Also, it takes a good while to assemble and got wobbly when we moved it, requiring re-tightening to make it stable. see less

Very solid construction and it will hold up well. I was suprised at the sturdiness and quality in a "you assemble it" piece of furniture. I purchased it online and it was in very thick packaging to ensure it arrived in perfect condition and although it took some time to assemble, it was well worth it. see less

I looked for a couple months for the right TV stand and had little luck. The tv stands I found were either very expensive, or very cheap with awful veneer application. I found this piece and loved the look of the pictures online. I was a bit cautious purchasing online without seeing it first hand. For a larger piece, it is amazingly easy to put together. I find it hard to believe the reviews i've seen that have said it is difficult, but maybe the wrong parts got mixed up. It is also very sturdy as you assemble it, no trying to balance large pieces, and no fear of it braking or collapsing as you move it around to assemble. Most importantly, it looks amazing once assembled. You cannot tell it isnt all real wood because of the quality of veneer work and construction, even around molding pieces. I would guess most people couldn't tell it isnt real wood even with close inspection. In sum, looks just like the picture online, is gorgeous and easy to put together. see less

I love the look of this piece. It is really beautiful and looks like you paid a lot more for it. Target's shipping was very quick and worth it. My issue with it and others who have bought this on other websites is with the instructions provided by the manufacturer. I have put together many pieces of furniture so I could decipher the directions or look at the pictures and figure it out. For the first timer, these directions are absolutely horrible! You had to REALLY study the picture to determine what went where. I will say that the way the manufacturer organized the parts was very good. My last comment again has to do with the manufacturer and others that sell like furniture - I HATE CAMBOLTS! Can you not come up with another way to secure the pieces together?!?!?!? It seems I can never get them to achieve a tight and secure fit and it shows in a couple of places on this piece. DRIVES ME ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! see less

Looks like a beautiful piece. My husband an I ordered this piece and it took us almost 4 hours to put it together. The hardware that we got to put it together was so cheap and flimsy even now that its put together, I'm afraid to put our TV on it. [...] The box was heavy, weighing about 88 lbs and too much for me to lift alone. Don't listen to the whiners who say this is too hard to put together. My husband carefully read the pictures, sorted the parts and then took about 2 hours to put together with me only assisting to hold a piece once. We were impressed by the real wood construction, all of the holes were drilled correctly, metal cams, etc. All in all excellent quality for the pricepoint. see less

For the price, I don't believe you will find a better table. I have had this table for more than 2 years, and it is still as new as the day I purchased it. Extremely good quality for the price, very sturdy, matches any decor. It looks and functions like I purchased it at an expensive furniture store. You can't go wrong with Target furniture. I bought many of the Avington pieces and they all match perfectly! My delivery came in the rain and had been sitting for hours in the rain, but everything was packed really nicely and with all the styrofoam, everything inside was dry! I've had experience assembling furniture like this, so I did not need the instructions, but overall, you don't need anything more than a Phillips head screwdriver...everything else came in the box. The pieces are real wood, except if a piece has a back piece, which is that MDF, but it is not too flimsy...as a matter of fact, once it's screwed on, it is very durable and really helps to hold everything together. I am very happy with my purchases! see less

After opening and putting together this product -my husband had no problems with assembly-, we were extremely happy with it's appearance and size. Exactly what we were looking for! One month later we are cursing the thing because of sagging issues. The top and bottom rail -which were fine to start out with- are sagging in the center to the point where we cannot close the doors without scraping the top rails, and I'm assuming it will only get worse.
