I originally bought this for the dusting wand which was well rated. The combination of long bristles and velcro captures all the dust. The surprise was the mattress tool. Despite its name, this is what the upholstery tool should be. It has these bands of really aggressive velcro-type felt on it that is really good at picking up hair and fluff. I used it on my couch and after covering every nook and corner I filled the bin on my dc25. It was disgusting to think all of that grime and dirt had been there the whole time and missed by the original upholstery tool. The flexible crevice tool does not bend much, only about 45degrees from the straight postion, but it really makes a difference on cleaning dryers. I sucked out 2 bins worth of lint from my dryer with this thing and cut off 20mins on the normal dry cycle. This tool will pay for itself just in electricity savings! I only wish I got it sooner. see less

I bought this for cleaning the dust out of my computer and it worked great for that. It was faster and more effective than the last time when I used disposable canned air. It might seem like a big investment up front but in the long run this product is more economical than buying disposable cans of air over and over. We are a three dog household, a Rott mix and two Siberian Huskies, I also work in an animal clinic as a vet tech. Let me just say that I can see this tool saving out house. One of our huskies is still blowing her coat and we are well into summer, I filled two canisters on just her and she didn't even look that bad to begin with. She's the dog that will leave little tufts of hair around the house, the other two are just stray hairs. Bella hates being groomed and I've been brushing her inside because she howls and carries on (I don't know what the neighbors must think I'm doing to her). She sat pretty quit when I tried the groom tool on her, like she almost enjoyed it. My other husky is longer, more fine hair. He laid down and was pretty content with it. I think the Rott mix might have to grow her hair out a bit more for it to work on her (she was shaved down the beginning of summer). It would be nice if Dyson came out with a replacement head though, and maybe other sized brush attachments for different coats? The bristles are sharp like any slicker brush, so you have to be careful not to dig into the skin. This is a fun tool and will get loads of use in our house. I just wish it hadn't taken me so long to discover it existed! see less

This is a great machine for cleaning! It's well built and works. I found other reviewers had some good points... 1. be sure to use distilled water to prevent mineral build-up, 2. be aware that with steam you get water so you'll need a cloth to wipe up water & loosened grime as you go, and 3. its not magic, you will need to make several passes & scrub a bit to get old grime up. Keeping these in mind, it still excited me to get my kitchen sink sparkeling and blast the gunk I couldn't wipe off the fridge handles with wipes. Dried spaghetti sauce on the linoleum floor? I searched for a couple weeks, reading reviews and product descriptions for several different steam mops. I ended up choosing this one because it was one of the only ones I saw that actually heats up to 212 degrees, which is where germs are killed. I'm so pleased this is the one I chose! We have hard wood floors in our living room and dining room and ceramic tile in our kitchen and bathroom. I love it on all of our surfaces. I had been using a swiffer before we got this steamer and I had no idea how dirty my floors really were. There really isn't anything I don't like about this mop, we have two dogs and and a 20 month old and another on the way and I can use this while everyone is playing, it dries super fast and is really easy to use. This machine has some power. The steam gets hotter than most others ,SHARK and has gotten some pretty tough stains out of my vinyl dance floor. I love the different attachments that make this a versatile machine. You will find, however, that it shines the most as a floor steamer. At first use, it seemed to pause a lot between steam bursts. It doesn't seem to happen much anymore. I get a pretty constant steam while going over the floors. It has 2 settings for the steam and the 1st setting seems sufficient enough for most jobs. This is the 3rd steamer I have tried so far, and by the looks of it, my last. I highly recommend this for anyone who is trying to decide on a floor steamer. see less

I've purchased and gone thru several stick vacuums thru the years, and this Bissell is the best. It is powerful, picks up everything, easy to clean,and has a larger capacity to hold dirt, Even just having the wire to recharge it makes it more convenient compared to the ones that have the additional stands you have to use. The charge lasts a long time, and I have very large rooms. I haven't once run low or out of power. I highly recommend this stick vacuum, or any other other item Bissell makes for pets. I have their Little Green Machine for pets, and it is the best on cleaning carpeting. see less

I love this product. I have mainly hard flooring and a long haired kitty. It works wonders. The only down side I have with the product itself is that the battery life could be a little longer or make it where it can run off of a cord as well as cordless. You do have to keep the filter really clean but that isn't a problem for me as I clean it every time I use it. I love the swivel and the button that drops the handle to get under neath things. I like the lightness of it also. I have a regular Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vac as well and it works great on carpet but not hard flooring and it is very heavy. see less

After owning a Shark steam mop, I fell in love with steam cleaning my floor. Unfortunately, the Shark broke, multiple times, and I needed a new one that was better. THIS IS IT and I don't feel unfortunate any longer! I love the H2O mop X5!!!! It is everything that the Shark was not! I love that you can adjust the amount of steam you want and that I don't have to pump it to get it to create steam. The fact that it has multi-uses is an extra bonus! We have 2 glass sliding doors and 3 small children...needless to say they are covered in tiny finger prints all the time. With the H2O Mop, I can steam clean my window without harsh chemicals and it does a fantastic job! If you are looking for a great steamer, this is it! My only complaint is that it only came with one cleaning pad. An extra would have been nice, but for [$] I am very happy with this purchase and I can easily order more pads on Target.com. see less

WOW. I love this thing. We just bought a home with wall to wall in both bedroom, on the stairs and in the hall. I am not a fan of wall to wall, as it is hard to keep clean, but it's brand new carpet so we're keeping it. I needed something more powerful than my small red plastic 38 dollar different brand vac, and this seemed reasonably priced and got good reviews. It's wonderful. I had used a shampooer to wash the carpets when we moved in, I thought they were sort of clean. In 10 minutes of cleaning with this machine I FILLED the canister doing a 3x8 ft hall,and one 9x17 bedroom. The canister is HUGE, so that says alot. SO much nasty crud came out. I can't wait to see what I get out of the baby's room and off the stairs tomorrow. Amazing. If it pulled THAT much out of new looking carpet I bet it would do even more on older carpet. I've rented a carpet cleaning machine from the grocery store twice a year for five years now. It costs around 50 dollars with each rental, plus the time it takes to haul the thing back and forth. I've been looking into buying a carpet cleaner for sometime, but spending an arm and a leg is a great deterret. When I saw this machine, at this price, with all of these great reviews, it was like a match made in heaven. My cleaner arrived last night and I cleaned all of my carpeted spaces in the same time it takes for me to vacuum them. I am thrilled with the results, and with the machine. It's incrediably light weight and easy to use. It's easy to clean too, and I was able to clean two bedrooms, a hallway and large great room with just two tanks of water/solution. I love it! And I'll probably use it again this weekend! see less

I dont use the cleaning solution because of allergies. Just fill tank with warm water and a teaspoon of baking soda. Then clean again with only sparkling water in the tank. it pulled a ton of old soap out of the carpet in my new apartment. The carpet dries in a couple hours beautifully. I want to buy a couple more water tanks, so I can swap solutions as I clean. (Keep sparkling water in the frig to keep it fizzy). I dump dirty water in a bucket as I clean. to save trips see less

It has great suction, but the vac paper bag blew a hole in it after using it for maybe 10 or 20 times. This sprayed dust all over. I needed something that would do stairs in a rental that I live in. I was amazed at how well they cleaned up. The real test was the Berber carpet in the living room that was stained from the previous tenants with gum and other marks. Imagine my surprise when this little machine actually pulled the gum up and I can once again see the natural mat of the Berber carpet. A bit of a pain to do the carpet on my hands and knees, but the results were completely worth it. I had used a rug doctor previously on this same carpet and it did not do half the job the Bissell little green did. see less

I used this on a piece of carpet I keep as a "welcome mat" and on the steps, and this Little Green did the job. I couldn't believe the difference. I have to say, I was skeptical that this would remove the months old stains on my carpet...but it totally did. I have a dog who had quite a few accidents while being house trained, and although I had used other pet carpet cleaners there were still stains! Oh Bissell, I am not one to EVER write reviews however, I had to write regarding an incident that occurred with my dog last night. Apparently my poor pup had 3 serious bouts of stomach issues around 5 a.m. and managed to leave 3 large piles of something unidentifiable. Two were embedded in my daughters pink shag carpet and one on a low pile cream colored carpet in front of my eldest son's room. Now, I am not very good with these types of accidents. Area rugs and towels typically get thrown away in our home when this occurs. I know, I know I am sure you are thinking "TMI"-too much information about your dog and life lady. So my first thought was ..."Oh no I am going to have to replace this carpet" I immediately jumped online and started researching steam vacuums so I could run out and purchase something and get the "issue" dealt with in a timely manner. I was looking for something portable as our home is a bit on the larger side and I wanted to be able to easily carry it up and down the stairs, etc.. All reviews lead me to the Bissell Spot Clean. It took two Large Box retail stores to find it. as the first one was out of stock on this item. I Bought it, brought it home and with a little effort it seriously removed all 3 stains! I actually could not believe it. My children came home from school and my oldest said "wow, I cannot believe that actually came out" This saved me both the expense of a professional steam cleaner and/or a trip to the carpet store. Thank you Bissell!!!! Now if you could only solve my dog's shedding and dog hair issue! My current two vacuums, one which was remotely expensive, DO NOT seem to get the matted dog hair off of the few shag rugs in our home, regardless of everyday vacuuming. I wanted something to clean the upholstery that wasn't just a surface clean. I have tried sprays and wipes which really didn't do that great a job. The sprays seamed to attract more dirt. I have researched and read so many reviews. So, I decided go ahead and spend the money to buy this unit. I am so glad I did. I regularly vacuum my furniture, but knew that it needed more. I am very particular about cleaning my home. I have bought two comparable uprights. They both performed poorly, both had pet hair tools and bagless. I reviewed the Bissell in Consumer Reports and saw the review was highly recommended as well as a best buy. Purchased on 03/02/13 and could not believe how much much was left behind from previous vacuums. Initially, the dirt container had to be emptied numerous times, but eventually it got the dirt/pet hair up. My carpet looks like a new carpet every time I vacuum. With a dog, and 2 cats, my home must be vacuumed 2-3 times a week. Cleaning the dirt container and filters is a dream. see less

I just recieved my Shark Steam Pocket via ups after only 2 days!!! I took it out followed the directions and gave it a whirl. Lets just say I will never go back to a mop and bucket. I have 3 dogs, a 2 year old and another baby on the way and this just made my life SO much easier! It was really easy to assemble and start using. It works so well too. It has been really muddy here and my dogs track it all over my tile floors. This cleans it up in minutes. I highly recommend this mop! see less

I have had this steam mop for 4 years, using it at least once a week. Originally i had pergo floors and now I have hard wood. I love that I am not using any chemicals, yet getting a very clean floor. Once the pads have been used and washed a few times, I have to be more careful to clean "with the grain" of the floors as it does leave a few more streaks. After 4 years, it is time to replace my mop. With no hesitations or questions, I will be purchasing another Shark. see less

I can't believe all the negative reviews! I have had mine for 2 years, I have 5 kids and a very busy home. I use it to mop my floors, dust my floors and use the carpet glider. I have had it for over 2 years now and the only thing I've had to do was buy new pads! It's a work horse in my house and I am always so thankful that I bought it when I take that pocket pad off and toss it in the washer. My kids and I all have bad allergies and this has helped a ton! I love my steam mop! As far as the complaint of it being hard to push... once the pocket gets wet with steam its really easy to push. Just pump the handle 5 or 6 times and away you go! Sure beats the heck out of a nasty mop and bucket!!! see less

I love this handy, lightweight vac for everyday use especially on my tile floors. It lightweight and stays charged very well. The detachable handheld vacuum makes it even more versatile. There are two recommendations I would make however. I would make a longer handle so I don't have to bend over so much. It's pretty short for my 6'2" husband. I would also make the head of the vacuum wider to clean a wider swatch. The head is kind of narrow. All in all I am satisfied with it. see less

I bought this without a lot of high expectations but ended up very pleased. This mop is simple, easy to clean and use and very effective. It heats up quickly and cools down fast. The pads are easy to wash in the sink so they can be used again. I can pull this steam cleaner out and have it ready to go in under a minute. The mess is cleaned and the pad washed out in another 3 or 4. The floor is dry again almost immediately. The whole thing is much faster than a mop. see less

Okay, first off, I'm a guy. Sorry for generalizing, but what that means is that I really don't notice dirty floors unless they are worse than the shed, and even with kids that doesn't happen often. Nonetheless, I know my wife notices, and I know that the best route to her heart is through a little surprise housecleaning. Enter this steam mop (which I was awfully skeptical about), because if there's one task we both hate, it's scrubbing the floors. As it turns out, it really works. It does such a good job on our hardwood floors that even I can see the difference! Better yet, doing the whole main level (all hardwood) was a one-beer job. And my wife? Let's just say that coming home from work and finding shiny clean floors puts her in a verrrrry good mood. Someday I may even tell her about the Steam Mop. ;) see less

I was very displeased with my "big" upright vacuum cleaner. I've had it for just over a year and it seems to have no suction power at all! So, I decided to buy a smaller, less expensive vacuum and see how it works. I found this one, read the reviews on it, and bought it. Now, this isn't the one I was going to the store to get, but the other one was sold out and I needed one today. This one had good reviews, so I bought it. Came home, put it together VERY easily, and started to use it. I was BLOWN AWAY by the suction power!! This vacuum picked up so much dirt that my other vacuum had missed!! It was unbelievable!! I LOVE this little machine!! Best purchase I have made for my home for vacuuming... works better than any I have bought in 3 years! [...............] Works on my hard wood, tile and carpet with ease. I put a few drops of essential oil on the mop pad and it makes the whole house smell fabulous as I mop. If people would take time to read the directions, it does tell you to use DISTILLED water, not tap water, because the mineral and calcium deposits will build up, eventually blocking the steam spout. When that happens, yes, you will hear a loud popping sound. I learned the hard way ... because I did NOT read the directions the first time around. see less

I got the Shark for an Xmas present. It took me all of 2 minutes to put it together and get the water hot. Not only did it clean my laminate floors beautifully but it lifted the sap from my xmas tree off my hardwood floors, no problem. I have hardwood throughout my entire home, 800sqftand one tank was good for about half my home. Great product, I threw out my [...] and old mop! see less

This vacuum is perfect if you're vacuuming 4-5 days per week due to pet hair and don't want to pull out your big vacuum all the time. We have a long haired and medium length haired cats in our house and we tend to find little hair clumps in corners, on the stairs, everywhere really. It has great battery life and great suction! Some users said it didn't perform well on rugs, but I've found that it works well enough to get pet hair and crumbs off all length rugs. My only complaint would be that the stick vacuum doesn't have as much power as the handheld vac, but I assume this is because the handheld powers the larger vacuum. However, it's a minor difference. Still works great both ways. see less

i have bought many handheld and stick vacs in the past but this one sure made an impression. it is not meant to replace your large vacuum, but can handle a lot. i've used it for pet hair, in bathrooms, bedrooms and my very large loft living room. it last about 20 to 30 minutes fully charged and a friend of mine told me that the batteries on such appliances last longer if you fully use up the battery before recharging it. not sure if it's true but i've been doing it with no problems. love how you can use it both as a handheld and a stick vac. beautiful color too!! when the unit is charging, it gives off a nice blue light that serves as a night light so you won't stub your toes when walking in the dark. extra perk insert smiley face see less

This is a great vacum woith adequate suction. If you have deep pile carpet, this is not your choice. It is really meant for hardwoods or Oriental carpets with no pile. I esp. like the attachments which are stored in the unit and the handheld is a great addition! see less

I received this as a gift and I am so glad! Living in a condo, I don't have a lot of unused storage space. This cleaner is smaller that most, the handle compacts, is light weight, easy to use and cleans like a champ. I was looking at larger, more heavy duty cleaners and am glad that I got this one before buying something else. It's easy to pull out and clean throw rugs as well as full carpets. Having a pet that has accidents on occasion, this has been a wonderful cleaner. see less

This little machine is fabulous for quick spot cleaning and heavy traffic areas. It is not the solution for whole home carpet cleaning, nor should it be considered an alternative to professional cleaning (or a more sophisticated deep cleaner) I use it to clean the hallways, entrance and anywhere else to pick up spilled food, tracked in dirt or whatever between professional cleaning. But you have heard all of that before..... If you ever thought about getting one of these little cleaners and were not certain that it could do the job, Let me tell you a story about how this little machine saved a carpet and how Bissell became the ONLY steam cleaner I will ever use. I recently painted the entire interior of my house, by myself. It took me several weeks to do the job, working one room at a time. (the whole house is carpeted) so furniture had to be moved out and dropcloths put down to protect the carpet from paint. Just as I was putting the last room back in order I noticed a spot missed on the ceiling. I put down a drop cloth under the spot and got my step stool brush and paint to touched up the spot. I prepared to step down and missed the step and I fell, not hurt, but the paint landed upside down on the carpet. I watched while paint spread over the carpet in horror. I had no time to get to the hardware store to rent a cleaner. So I grabbed my ReadyClean and a bucket of water and went to work. It wasn't easy, (and I hope I never have to do it again) but the ReadyClean picked up all of the paint (about half a gallon) I kept the paint diluted with water and managed to use the little cleaning machine to extract the paint! It was amazing. Not only did it save the carpet, but it still works perfectly (after some serious cleaning) These are great little machines. see less

I have a Corgi, who is 3, and track in dirt from walks into my condo and still have leftover cleaning patches from a "rear end issue" he had this past summer. I just used my Ready Clean for the first time and LOVE IT! It cleaned up my entry way and all of the leftover spots! I have a beige carpet too. I just bought this vacuum a week ago but so far it is the best vacuum I have ever purchased. I really hope how the box reads it "never looses cleaning power" is true because my previous vacuums lost suction after a few uses. I have a dog that sheds like crazy and I was in the market for a good pet hair vacuum and I think I found it. I love how it is cordless, it makes cleaning so much easier and much faster. The swivel head makes getting into corners easier too. The price was listed at [$] but I found one that was repackaged for [$], of course at that price I had to buy it. This is my 4th cordless vacuum. I actually owned the d----- cordless for a short time before realizing it didn't really do the job. This is not a fancy vacuum with attachments or a handheld option. But for a cordless, it is SO POWERFUL!! It gets the carpet and tile very clean. It is also easy to empty/clean the filters. see less

I have had my Bissell steam mop cleaner (model 1867) for years and love it. I don't use it all the time but I recently moved and started it up and steam came out the side (side opposite the electric chord) instead of out the bottom. Have I lost a screw on the right side? There is a hole but I am not sure if it has always been there or whether a screw fell out. It is probably time for me to change the filter but I need to know if I need a new screw. I've looked at all the pictures and not one of them show that angle. There is also no blow-up diagram of the mop I can find. Could you please let me know the answer and where to find the info. thanks. see less

While I don't have pets, I do have kids and a husband (3rd kid!)....we live out in the country and are outside a lot working in the yard, fixing cars, etc....the laundry room especially takes a beating - particularly the floor! But with my steam mop, I can get that floor so much cleaner with less work than an ordinary mop! My son even likes to use it and my husband is not adverse to using it, too! see less

Like others I'm very impressed with this vacuum. But was concerned about bad reviews regarding loss of suction. Found rubber seal between filter on back of canister does not tightly seal against motor air intake. Installed 5 dollar generic washable foam filter by tucking it into edges of intake. This safe guards against dirt build up in the only area not access able to clean. Wiping rubber seal and matting surface with damp cloth after emptying canister helps it to seal. Foam filter assures lasting suction. Worth it to me for best design attachments and vacuum I've ever used. see less

I've had this vacuum for several months now, and can't express my love for it enough! It is easy to tote around the house and picks up everything off of hard floors. I use it on hardwoods, ceramic tile, oriental rugs, and as occasional touch up in my carpeted bedrooms. It will definitely not take the place of my upright vacuum for my carpeted rooms, but I will never waste my time sweeping my hard floors again! If you keep the canister and filters clean, you will not have a problem losing suction. Love this vacuum! see less

I purchased this originally as a downstairs only vacuum but find I don't mind carrying it up my spiral stairs as it is an effective little machine. In the 6 plus months I've been using it, it has NEVER lost suction. I find I do have to empty it often but that's only because I have six indoor cats who shed ALOT!! I highly recommend this little dynamo of a vacuum. It's easy to use and works very well on my area rugs, hard tile and wood floors. I also use it to clean my mini blinds and it's light enough to clean my ceiling fan blades. Who needs a [$] vacuum when you can have this amazing little work-horse for [$]? see less

I bought this vacuum for my one bedroom apartment. I have severe allergies so I need a vacuum that will get all the dirt the first time around. I love this vacuum. When I saw on the box that it said it worked as good as a [...] I was skeptical. I used a [...] for years at my parents house and liked it for the most part. However, being on the right out of college budget a [...] was out of the price range. After reading reviews and looking at the features at the store I finally settled on this one. It works great! Unlike the [...] that my parents have I can fit under my nightstands and end tables due to the smaller base of the vacuum which saves me a ton of time moving things to clean around them. The carpet was brand new so I had a ton of fuzzy's in the first vacuum and it did not loose suction or clog this vacuum once, this happened with my parents [...] after every room when they got new carpet. Had it for a week used it twice and no complaints. see less

Well, I couldn't afford to get a [...], even though it was what I have been wanting for years. So I got a Eureka Zuum which says it "cleans better than a [...]" and was only [$] at Target. I am pretty impressed! I just vacuumed our living room yesterday with our old vacuum, and the new vacuum just picked up enough dirt and hair to fill the canister. It also cleans against the baseboards, which our old vacuum did not do. I have 3 dogs, and we have foster dogs, and 2 small children, so I need something with some power. As long as it holds up over time, I highly recommend it. see less

This little vac is the best around for apartment living (and probably smaller, targeted spaces in houses). It is very powerful and very easy to use and store. Lots of creative and thoughtful details are built in to make it easy on the user ergonomically. Only downside is needing to clean the brush often to keep it at its most effective. I received one for our wedding in 2009 and used it almost everyday since then. Finally, it's battery wore out (I don't think I was charging it most effectively). I tried to contact the Shark company itself about replacing the battery versus buying a new vac. They were very difficult to deal with and both options were rather expensive. I decided to do some online shopping and Target easily had the lowest price, along with free shipping (which is no joke on a larger package)! see less

I bought this sweeper several years ago and loved it but I used it hard-very hard and needed a new one. For some reason, I thought I would try other sweepers. What a waste of time. I tried four other cordless sweepers and I returned all of them. They were horrible. Even ones that were $100 more than the shark. I thought if I spent more I would get a better sweeper. I was very wrong. I ended up buying the lavender Shark again and it is awesome. (I tried the aqua colored Shark-don't wast your money. Spend the extra couple of bucks and get the lavender one. I HATE the chore of sweeping and mopping. This vacuum does both. No hairs, no crumbs, no dust bunnies, no cereal left behind. Even the stickiness from soft drink or juice spills vanishes. Plus the floor dries within seconds! No puddles of water so kids does slip. I had mind for a couple of years and then we moved to a house that had very little flooring so I didn't use much and had a family member that needed it more, so I gave it to her. We have now moved to a house with lots of floor and every mop I buy makes the chore more & more difficult. I have had it!!! I am now purchasing another FLIP IT! I love it! I HIGHLY recommend it to ALL MOMs out there!! Helps make home lifa a little easier. see less

Although it does clean your floors great, you have to pump the handle 2-3 times to clean ONE strip of floor. This is NOT mentioned in the advertisement. Yes, every strip of floor you do requires you to pump the handle 2-3 times. My husband joked he could've mopped the same area on his hands and knees in the amount of time it took this mop to do one room because of this. I will definitely be returning and if all steam mops have this feature, I'm hiring a cleaning lady. Tired hands in Florida, Debbie see less
