I've purchased and gone thru several stick vacuums thru the years, and this Bissell is the best. It is powerful, picks up everything, easy to clean,and has a larger capacity to hold dirt, Even just having the wire to recharge it makes it more convenient compared to the ones that have the additional stands you have to use. The charge lasts a long time, and I have very large rooms. I haven't once run low or out of power. I highly recommend this stick vacuum, or any other other item Bissell makes for pets. I have their Little Green Machine for pets, and it is the best on cleaning carpeting. see less

I love this product. I have mainly hard flooring and a long haired kitty. It works wonders. The only down side I have with the product itself is that the battery life could be a little longer or make it where it can run off of a cord as well as cordless. You do have to keep the filter really clean but that isn't a problem for me as I clean it every time I use it. I love the swivel and the button that drops the handle to get under neath things. I like the lightness of it also. I have a regular Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vac as well and it works great on carpet but not hard flooring and it is very heavy. see less

I bought it for clean up of messes, since I have 3 kids and a Boxer!!! It works wonders for the price!!! I have had no problems. It is not meant to do deep cleaning, it is made for lite ever day cleaning. I love that itvis a hand vac and so easy to use under kitchen table. see less

Wow! I got this after my very old vacuum died and was shocked at how much dirt, dust, and pet hair my other vacuum was NOT picking up!!! It was easy and quick to assemble. Light weight, love the clear view so you can see when it needs to be emptied. The canister is super easy to clean. I still am amazed at how much stuff it picked up the first time I used it! I bought this after reading a number of reviews and was not let down. What a great little vacuum - suction is great, size and weight are perfect for me, a small woman, and was very easy to assemble. I used this on a small area rug, 5x8, and couldn't believe that it filled up about 1/4 of the cup. This thing really works! see less

WOW. I love this thing. We just bought a home with wall to wall in both bedroom, on the stairs and in the hall. I am not a fan of wall to wall, as it is hard to keep clean, but it's brand new carpet so we're keeping it. I needed something more powerful than my small red plastic 38 dollar different brand vac, and this seemed reasonably priced and got good reviews. It's wonderful. I had used a shampooer to wash the carpets when we moved in, I thought they were sort of clean. In 10 minutes of cleaning with this machine I FILLED the canister doing a 3x8 ft hall,and one 9x17 bedroom. The canister is HUGE, so that says alot. SO much nasty crud came out. I can't wait to see what I get out of the baby's room and off the stairs tomorrow. Amazing. If it pulled THAT much out of new looking carpet I bet it would do even more on older carpet. I needed something that would do stairs in a rental that I live in. I was amazed at how well they cleaned up. The real test was the Berber carpet in the living room that was stained from the previous tenants with gum and other marks. Imagine my surprise when this little machine actually pulled the gum up and I can once again see the natural mat of the Berber carpet. A bit of a pain to do the carpet on my hands and knees, but the results were completely worth it. I had used a rug doctor previously on this same carpet and it did not do half the job the Bissell little green did. see less

I purchased this product on Friday (11/10), and used it on Tuesday (11/13) and I was very impressed. I have a berber carpet all throughout the house, steps included, and it's very hard to clean. I used this on a piece of carpet I keep as a "welcome mat" and on the steps, and this Little Green did the job. I couldn't believe the difference. This was a great investment and I would recommend this product to anyone who asks. see less

I am very particular about cleaning my home. I have bought two comparable uprights. They both performed poorly, both had pet hair tools and bagless. I reviewed the Bissell in Consumer Reports and saw the review was highly recommended as well as a best buy. Purchased on 03/02/13 and could not believe how much much was left behind from previous vacuums. Initially, the dirt container had to be emptied numerous times, but eventually it got the dirt/pet hair up. My carpet looks like a new carpet every time I vacuum. With a dog, and 2 cats, my home must be vacuumed 2-3 times a week. Cleaning the dirt container and filters is a dream. see less

Absolutely love this vacuum! Picked up SO much dirt/dust after using my old vacuum it was crazy. The sensor light is great too -- makes vacuuming feel like more of a game than a chore. Gotta get the light to turn green before leaving a section. At first it was difficult, but now I've got the whole house "green." The suction is fabulous too. Absolutely love this vac! see less

Purchased this yesterday, was really expecting to spent 150 up on a decent vacuum but decided on this because of the turbo brush. Figured if I didn't like it I would return it. Installation requires inserting the handle and one screw to hold it in place. This thing got dirt our of my carpet and rugs that I thought were clean. Worked equally well on my hardwood floors. As soon as we got it home we put it together, and I have to tell you, with just a small area we tested it on, we were super impressed!! And also left wondering what exactly our old vacuming was "cleaning" we filled the canister up, and only vacumed around 3 feet of space. I love this product!! [...], great value!! This vacuum is awesome! Considered a Dyson, but this has the same technology for 1/4 of the price. The suction is incredible. Previously had a Hoover Empower. The hoover just blew the loose dirt around on the hard floor, never seemed like it cleaned well and was very loud. Sounded as though the belt/motor had issues. The Bissell is quiet, smooth, and I am very happy with build quality. Nice features such as brush engagement/disengagement is very useful. Also, an important area is the hose and attachments. The hose is high quality and other attachments are great. Vacuum never loses suction. You should purchase this vacuum, it's GREAT!!! see less

I just received the vacuum today. I was originally looking at the Dyson pet vacuum but didn't have the money so I did my research and decided to buy the Bissell. I opened it as soon as it arrived today and began vacuuming right away! I had to empty the canister twice - that's how much dirt and pet hair my other vacuum wasn't picking up!!!!I have a black cat and a brown dog and the amount of hair that i can see, and can't see, it was amazing how much it picked up. My condo looks brand new! Can't say enough good things about this vacuum!!! see less

We have two labs that shed like crazy. This vacuum picks up the hair really well. The attachments are wonderful too. It is nice to finally have a vacuum that effectively removes pet hair from my furniture too. see less

The size of this vacuum is great for me...light and small enough to move about with ease. I like the adjustable suction. It is great to pick up random cat litter and hair. It moves under beds and low furniture easily. I like the self winding cord with the colored warning marks and I like the clear cannister so I can see easily when it needs emptying. The tools stay confined to their compartment instead of falling off all the time like our previous small vacuum. see less

I've had this Bissell model for almost 3 years now that was purchased at Target! I have white cupboards, white tile floors, beige carpeting and a BLACK dog who ejects fur for months on end! This vacuum picks up the hair and dirt like no other. I replace the belt on the vacuum when I notice the vacuum leaving a little bit of hair behind and problem solved. Clean up is easy, cord is long enough to go through several rooms without changing outlets and the contour tool is great on furniture. I would buy another one of these in a minute! see less

I have owned this vacuum for 2 years and I love it. It cleans all hair from our sheppard/husky and long haired cat amazingly well. Our rugs and carpet looked brand new from the first use, and that has continued. I am surprised by the bad reviews, I remember seeing them before I purchased, and was skeptical. But none of the complaints have been an issue for me. The vacuum is easy to clean, dump hair right in the trash, rinse and reuse. I have replaced a broken belt, which cost [...] We use this vacuum constantly, heavy use and no issues. Highly recommend! see less

I have had this vacuum for several years now and I love it. It has great suction and get get into all those places that hair gets and an upright cannot. It lifts the hair up without getting clogged unlike my previous vacuums. I am about to purchase another one as my original has gotten dirty over the years due to all the pet hair. It is being relegated to the outside mats. see less

I'm writing this review because of the negative reviews, I have been rescuing cats from a military base for 8 years and have bought countless vacuums"...really. This vacuum was a gift from my mom and it has been awesome.it is easy to empty and it has more suction then any I've owned. Don't believe the reviews I have no Idea how you wouldn't like this vacuum. Also I have never had a vacuum than could run the upholstery rotary tool, this one can! Buy it you wont be sorry. see less

This product could not be more aptly named! I have two long haired dogs and, just like Rapunzel, could have spun a coat from the hair they leave throughout the house. Not any more, thanks to this wonderful light weight vacuum cleaner. It is powerful enough to suck up every stray hair from under the couch and has a large enough canister to complete the entire job before it needs to be emptied. i bought this little jewel based on the fact that my wife and i are about to get a puppy, and also based on the reviews left by other purchasers. Assembly: you literally take it out of the box and insert one screw to connect the handle to the actual unit (you can use a phillips or flat head screw driver). Attach the hose and attachments and you are golden. "suction": it is crazy to see how much filth this vacuum collected! i mean we keep our house pretty tidy (not to toot my own horn), but this vacuum sucks the life, [...], out of our house! this was a great choice. the "pet" attachment is great for cleaning stairs, and nooks/crannies. this was our first "real" vacuum, and we are extremely satisfied. after cleaning a seemingly clean 10x6 rug we had almost a half canister full of debris! be still my heart...hope this helps! see less

I HATE the chore of sweeping and mopping. This vacuum does both. No hairs, no crumbs, no dust bunnies, no cereal left behind. Even the stickiness from soft drink or juice spills vanishes. Plus the floor dries within seconds! No puddles of water so kids does slip. I had mind for a couple of years and then we moved to a house that had very little flooring so I didn't use much and had a family member that needed it more, so I gave it to her. We have now moved to a house with lots of floor and every mop I buy makes the chore more & more difficult. I have had it!!! I am now purchasing another FLIP IT! I love it! I HIGHLY recommend it to ALL MOMs out there!! Helps make home lifa a little easier. see less
