What a miracle! Easy setup. Cleans better than other regular washers I have had. LIke other people said, I had no idea such products existed. What depression I have experience over laundry in past. Cured the moment I started using this machine. That is why I call it a miracle. I live in 450 sf apt. Complex has 1 washer and 1 dryer for 50 units at 2 dollars a load. Uhg! It runs very quiet except for spin cycle but that is brief. Although instructions don't say, I used plummer's teflon tape when connecting the water hose to the machine. First try there was leakage but tape fixed that. I have used for several month and several loads a week. I still can't believe how great this machine is. Very strong and sturdy. see less

After reading page after page of reviews about this product I got brave and decided that I had been convinced to give it a try. First I would like to tell you that I live in a downstairs apartment. I was worried about the noise disturbing my neighbors but that was never a problem at all. After living here for three years I got so tired of gong back and forth to the laundry here at our apartments. So I started looking for a good deal on a small apartment sized washing machine. When I originally came across this brand I was a little hesitant about ordering it because I had never heard of it until I found a great deal on-line for this particular model. I read many many reviews before I finally decided to buy one. I absolutely love this little washing machine. I can wash about 1/2 the size load that I wash at the laundry in this little machine which really surprised me at first. I also loved that I am a single 49 year old lady who is not technically or mechanically inclined at all and i had very little trouble getting my machine out of the box and following step by step instructions regarding first time set up and use. Also had bought a roll around stand to put my machine on which I ended up returning because my machine had castors (roll around wheels) included.with it. In some of the reviews that I read the castors were either not available or left out of the model that those people had reviewed but they were included with mine. Now I just need to fine me mini dryer and I will be all set. I do take my towels out to the laundry and dry them but I am only out there 1/2 the time as I was before. I hang up my good clothes that I would ordinarily hang up anyway. My space is very limited in my apartment but I do have a small pantry closet in my kitchen. I purchased an over-the-door rack for my can goods, I park my washer in there and cover it with a sheet. Since the apartments where I live pays our water bill we are not supposed to have washers or dishwashers. But so far no one has questioned me about it so just maybe I am getting by with it. I love my little washing machine and it was well worth what I paid for it! I would buy another one any time if I needed another one.I have had my machine well over a year now. I can't say enough good about the quality included when building this machine. see less

Great purchase! Any one living in an apt. or a small space this is the answer for you. Compact and sturdy yet gets the job done. From light weight to heavy duty everthing is clean. Saves money and time, very efficient! No more having to save quarters for machines or even having to wait for them. Also, with the ease of rolling it to the sink and its quietness you can use it late at night. This unit is a win - win all the way around. see less

I've owned the Haier 1.5 washer for over a year now. In a tiny apartment, I needed something less that 24" wide to fit the opening for a washer. Not only does the Haier fit beautifully, it washes above expectation for such a small machine. Whether it's just my daily clothes, a load of towels, or a small blanket that's been packed away for years, everything comes out clean and fresh. My Haier HLP140E dryer sits above it, also working beautifully, and I appreciate those controls on the bottom - I can reach them without getting on a stool. I was a little concerned before I bought the washer, from all the reviews saying everything come out in a knot. Yes, some clothes get tangled, but no more so than for full-size washers; just in a little different way, because there's no agitator. see less

For two years I owe the washer there were no problems at all. However some notices for improvement: 1). Longer hoses should be available as alternatives for purchase. 2). It is not clear form the instructions where and when the powdered/liquid detergent and the bleacher should be added. see less

Having no hook ups for a ... see more

Having no hook ups for a normal large washer this machine is apartment perfect. It hides behind the bathroom door when not in use and pulls out to the sink for hook up when I need it. Have not had any problems with it since purchased. Trying to figure out where I can put the dryer! see less

This dryer does not have to be vented to the outside OR mounted to the wall. [....................] The dryer sits nicely on a table or dresser, and plugs into a regular wall outlet. I love the thing, myself, and can't say enough good about it. I am single and I wash small loads. It easily handles two bath sheets and several wash cloths, for example, or a complete set of sheets for a twin bed, or two pairs of pants and a couple of shirts at a time. Excellent purchase for a single person, a couple, or a couple with one child. see less
