Both my daughter and I love this move. My daughter is young and doesn't care much for older westerns, but she wasn't bored with this and laughed and cried with me. It is hilarious and heartbraking and a truely beautiful movie! It does have some more adult moments but it isn't that bad and is totaly drowned out with everything else. GET THIS MOVIE! Amazing quality, amazing extras! Volume 1 contains the first half of season one of Bonanza, and the quality of the image and sound is brilliant. It also contains TONS of behind the scene pictures, a features about the cast members, and even the edited out ending from the first episode. A must have for western fans! see less

Flaming Star explodes with what is real and ugly about racial predjudice. It is raw and and direct. Presley is at his best and the story line is strong and an important one to get across to the viewer. The cast worked well with one another and they support one another with great fervor. I enjoyed this movie and i only wish that Elvis would have done more films with very important messages that needed to be conveyed to the movie goer. see less

Shoot 'em up adventure! Great Western. Just like the kind I used to watch as a kid. I really loved it. The characters and acting were fantastic. I really loved Captain Bugle and his sidekick Hoot and you just loved to hate the town villain! I watched this with my family and there wasn't one curse word the whole movie! You don't see that too often. Lots of great action and a really great storyline. Very cool. Overall, a really entertaining movie for the whole family! see less

This show is by far the best show on tv, in my opinion. The storylines and characters all mesh in a way that makes the old west seem fresh. I recommend it to anyone looking for a show with a meat and potatoes vibe. see less

This is an awesome set of some of James Stewart westerns. All movies are in color and run about 1hr and 30min each. "Bend of the River" and "The Far Country" are both in Full screen format, Yes, "Far Country" was released in Wide, but apparently they don't want to release it yet, and "Night Passage" and "The Rare Breed" are both in Widescreen format. There are two disks and with no double sided disks, so all movies are on one side. There isn't much of features on these movies and there is only English for subtitles and language. Since Universal released this, the quality of this is just like buying the movies by themselves. These movies star of course James Stewart with Rock Hudson, Audie Murphy, Arthur Kennedy, Julia Adams, Ruth Roman, Maureen O'Hara, Dan Duryea, Brian Keith, Jay C. Flippen, Henry Morgan, Walter Brennan and others. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone. see less

Open Range has to be one ... see more

Open Range has to be one of the best westerns that I have seen in quite awhile. Now I am a lover of westerns and have been for as long as I can remember in my 43 year life. The casting for all, not just some of the characters, is perfect and as for the directing, Kevin Costner did an excellent job (and I am no fan of either his acting or anyhting else but this movie he nailed it.) Annette Bening is absolutely wonderful in her abilitiy to capture her character. Robert Duvall did a great job just as all of the cast did. If you are looking for a western that is not full of too much violence, and enough profanity to make a sailor blush, then pick up this movie and enjoy a western that does the genre justice. see less
