q: do I have to reset my password?
A: Yes. We''ve made upgrades, so to securely access your order history, address book, registries, lists, ratings and reviews, your password must be reset.

q: I had an Amazon.com account. will I still have access to my account on Target.com?

A: Yes. If you used your Amazon.com account on Target.com, your account was transferred to the new Target site. All you need to do is reset your password. This will only affect the information associated with your Target.com account. Any information associated with your Amazon.com account will not be affected.

q: I have multiple accounts with the same email address. will I lose all of my accounts?

A: Our new website only allows one email per account. If you had multiple accounts tied to the same email, you will be prompted during the account migration process to select one account to transition to the new Target site. The other accounts will no longer be accessible.

q: I have more than one Target.com account with different email addresses. can I merge them together?

A: No. We are not able to merge accounts if they have different email addresses and passwords. You can migrate each over to the new Target site separately, but you will then have multiple accounts on the new Target site.

q: is it ok if I open a new account instead of using my old one?

A: Yes, you can open a new account as long as you don''t already have one created with the same email address.

q: can I have more than one Target.com account for my email address?

A: No. If you previously had multiple Target.com accounts with one email address, your accounts will be combined when you reset your password on our updated site.

q: why don''t I see my stored credit card information that I''ve used for past orders?
A: For security purposes, your credit card information was not transferred. You may store it once you reset your password.

q: why don''t I see my open order history on my Target.com account?

A: Only closed orders were transitioned to the new website. Any orders that were still open as of August 1, 2011 were not migrated. If you cannot find an order or have a question, please give Target.com Guest Service a call at 1-800-591-3869, and we''ll help you out.

q: I had a GiftCard linked to my Target.com account. how do I get it added to my new account?
A: To add your GiftCard to a new account, you'll just need your GiftCard identification and access numbers. Don't have it? Please give Target.com Guest Service a call at 1-800-591-3869, and we'll find it for you on your old account.
