I have a love-hate relationship with this shampoo. I love it because it gets rid of the dryness and itchiness that other products have failed to do. I dislike it because it dries out my hair. And me, having curly hair, I need all of the moisturization I can get with my hair, otherwise getting really frizzy. And, the smell isn't all that great either. However, I can deal with the downfalls of this shampoo with a great product. I make sure I have a good hair cream which gets rid of the smell and also gets rid of the frizz in my hair and smooths it out. Overall, this is a good product and I am able to deal with the cons in this. I actually like it and it does the job for me!

Was looking for a very lightly scented hand soap that had natural ingredients in it. I greatly dislike most of the hand soaps out there because they smell terrible or way too strong! Found this at a local Target where I live. First off you get a nice sized bottle and the price is great. Very subtle scent, lathers up wonderfully, and it makes my hands feel so soft afterward. No harsh ingredients in it, either. Love it! I would highly recommend this to everyone, and will definitely continue to buy more when this runs out. Its a lovely hand soap!

I have used a high end brand of 100 percent pure and organic shea butter. This one compares to that easily. It is very hard, but kept in a room temperature becomes pliable under your fingers. I mostly use it for my hands, cuticles, feet, lips. You can use it on your entire body, hair, face. It is really good for different skin conditions which require more nourishment. I wish it came in more scents, like lemon, orange, peach etc.

We are a very mixed African-American family. Me, my husband and my 3 year old daughter all have type 4A hair. But, due to our very mixed ancestry, my 18 month old came out with type 3B hair. I have been thoroughly frustrated searching high and low for an organic hair care product for naturally fine yet curly hair. Alas, I am have found the perfect product. This product moisturizes and detangles her hair instantly, leaving it soft and manageable with little to no frizz. Thank God for Shea Moisture hair care products! Additionally, I have read some of the other comments of those who have tried this product on type 4 hair and I would just like to say that this product works best for type 3 hair. In my opinion, if you have type 4 hair and maybe even for some who have type 3C hair, this product may not be enough to detangle and moisturize your hair. I know because I have tried it on my hair and my 3 year olds hair.

Best shampoo I've used in a while! I have 3a hair with an oily scalp but dry hair. I've tried washing my hair with conditioner like so many curlies have told me about but that only left my scalp greasy and my hair limp. I found this shampoo online by accident and gave it a shot. I'm very pleased! It leaves my scalp clean, my curls soft and shiny and it smells like a coconut cocktail! Bonus, very few ingredients and none of the gross chemicals.A little goes a long way! It has a low, creamy lather. A quarter size amount really does it.

best soap that I have ever used. The soap is not in all stores. Everytime I [.]go to Jacksonville, FL, I stock up with 6 bars. You only have to lather the wash cloth twice. Once you try Dial or you old soap you will see how the grease/oil in the soap feels. Shea Butter is great soap, even thoiught Target has raised the price over the last couple of months.

OMG! I love this product, I just did a major chop to damanged hair and I'm still in a state of shock, but it needed to be done, so I bought this stuff, and I love it. I actually washed my curly hair and didn't have time to style so I put my wet hair in a big twist and clip and went on my way. The first ingredient is coconut oil. If you have dry skin, that's how to tell that this product will work where others have failed. And the smell is heavenly. I'm concerned that like my Nubian Heritage lotions it will be difficult to get out of the bottle but will store it upside down and hope it's not too much hassle - note to manufacturer, how about packaging in a jar so we can just scoop it out. Can't wait to try other products from this line!

I Have Medium Thick hair with Bleached Tips with Purple and blue Highlights. Back when i worked in [..],I was adventurous wanted to try all the ethnic products. Fell in love. So much conditioning and color protection. I never could find a line that worked well for my hair. Tried a broad spectrum of things. Then I saw these at Walmart next to the Organix shampoo/Conditioners. I have to say AWESOME! I use the Elixir and Coconut & Hibiscus Hold and Shine. My Hair is SOoOo Shiny! And my hair health is rising. I use the Elixir at night as well so my hair doesn't dry out during the night. It typically does, even when i sleep on my satin pillow. My hair is luminous and light when i wake up. I'm Going to Purchase the Shampoo and Conditioner. I'm sure it'll be great!

This elixir is a very oily oil blend...ha! I mean, I like this, but I can see thicker, damaged hair soaking in this elixir and falling in love. It can overwhelm my fine, undamaged strands. I must take care not to use too much. I literally only need a teensy, baby spray on each section of my hair to achieve maximum sealing effects with shine and gloss for days. Naturally, I balked at the price for such a small container, but considering the potency of the elixir, a little goes a long way and the container will last a very long time. Additionally, when using this, I use half as much leave-in and only a fraction of a styler, if I use a styler, at all. It's worth the money. Now, the scent...eh. It's the basic shea scent. Nothing exotic, floral, or even remotely special.

I purchased the shampoo, conditioner, and elixir over the weekend and I am in love. My hair feels clean and soft. The fragrance on this is amazing and it lasts a while. Unlike some of the other reviews, I did not find the elixir too heavy. It was just right for my thick head of hair. Also, I have seen very little to no breakage since I used these products. I will definitely be switching my hair treatment regimen to this set.

I'm never buying another body scrub again. This is amazing! It smells like frankincense and myrrh and and cookies... I know that sounds weird but it smells delicious. The texture is perfect to get the job done without being too harsh on my sensitive skin. My skin is the softest it has ever been after using this. I have found that the jar leaks a bit if you leave it upside down or on its side, so be careful when bringing it home from the store.

I love everything about it. I love the scent. I love the texture. I love the way my skin feels moisturized & polished. I use it on my face & body. It really does a good job of getting the dead skin cells off. She Moisture also makes a coconut hibiscus face scrub that I also purchased but didn't love. There wasn't enough grit in it. I especially love that it doesn't contain a whole list of nasty chemicals that many people don't even think about or know are harming them. I will continue to buy this & support this company in their efforts to bring us organic healthy chemical free products.

I am about as white as they come but I have that Scottish/Irish extremely fine 3b/corkscrew type curly hair which soaks up moisture like a sponge. I am now on my second tub of this after trying it on a whim to use as a once-a-week treatment. I love it so much, I actually started using it as my regular conditioner. A little goes a long way! I like to leave this on for about 5 minutes while still in the shower and then rinsing it but leaving some in. I live in Colorado, which is very dry, and have been suffering from an extremely dry itchy scalp this winter. The use of this after a salicylic acid based shampoo has mostly alleviated my symptoms. I usually wash/condition with this every other day and wear second day hair in between. If I wash two days in a row, I'll use a conditioner more suitable for daily use on the second day.

It makes my hair soft and my curls are defined and springy. I set my hair with either coiling, twist or bantu knots with my hair saturated with this mask and air dry. I actually like this better than the curly pudding. My hair gets really dry and I need a heavier conditioner like this one. I guess if you have thin or silkier texture then this is not for you. I also apply a little to my son's curly hair but not everyday and it rehydrates

I was attracted by the price, the all-natural ingredients, and the fact that it's cruelty-free. I first used it as a deep conditioner, and I was very disappointed. I felt like it did absolutely nothing for my hair. Later I heard that this product can also be left in the hair and used a moisturizer. Sure enough, the directions say "Leave on hair for 5-30 minutes, then thoroughly rinse, or leave in hair and use as a frizz-free moisturizing styling cream." I tried it. Nothing had been able to moisturize my dry, brittle, and damaged transitioning hair before this. My hair was super soft, supple, and it held on to that moisture for DAYS before I had to apply more. My new growth was also very nicely defined. It's definitely a staple, dare I say holy grail? The fragrance is a soft mix between vanilla and cake batter, not overpowering at all. I've since cut my hair and this product continues to perform wonderfully on my coils. As long as they don't change anything, I'm a customer for life!

This stuff is AMAZING!! I have 4a hair and all the products in this kit worked so well. I especially love the spray with all the different oils. Its like the best sealant ever! The masque worked wonders and I just use the restoration conditioner as a leave in. If your looking for lather shampoo, this is IT! I didnt really FEEL like it was cleaning my hair, but it moisturized well. It also is very inexpensive which is why I LOVE. The smells of the whole kit...well it smells like any other Shea Moisture product. The bottles are all 4 oz but that's alright. A little goes a long way with the whole Shea Moisture line. If there was a favorite in the whole box, it would be the masque! I will deffinitley be buying a larger size next time I go to Target.
