Joy has always used fashion as a source of creativity and confidence. Growing up, she had to be smart with her budget and designers like Altuzarra were only inspirational—until our design collaborations. Now, the mother of two works in the fashion industry as a writer and stylist, but remains resourceful. In 2014, Joy wore Altuzarra to New York Fashion Week, feeling confident and completely her stylish, unique self.
Veronica, an entrepreneur and immigrant from the Dominican Republic, started working at Target as a teen. Fashion gave her a sense of belonging and identity when she came to the U.S., and our design collaborations, like Altuzarra’s, made it accessible. Veronica’s style and hard work have paid off—today, she’s the owner of a successful brand communications company.
Take a look back
Moments from the original collaboration with Joseph Altuzarra—“c’est magnifique.”
The thoughtfulness and seduction in every detail of Altuzarra’s collection was evident. With his plunging v-necks, velvety pantsuits and snakeskin prints in rich hues and alluring silhouettes, Altuzarra was able to speak to women all over the county and encourage them to feel daringly feminine and confident.
“It has less to do with how old you are and more to do with your state of mind.”
