Tyler’s career beginnings can be traced back to Gossip Girl, the pop-culture hit TV series and a theme of our Anna Sui for Target collection. Through her self-created fan podcast, social media and love of Sui’s designs, Tyler found exploration, expression and inspiration. She’s now the Editor in Chief at Fashionista.
Like Tyler, Courtney has been a devoted fan of Gossip Girl for years. Growing up, the fashion blogger identified with certain characters’ styles and stories and would often visit Target in search of items she could make into Anna Sui-like looks. Just like Sui, Courtney created styles that are all her own.
“Target’s collaborations with designers make fashion approachable and accessible. They allow women who want to feel chic and not spend a fortune the opportunity to do so.”
Take a look back
Moments from the original collaboration— drama, fashion and Gossip Girl.
Anna Sui’s Gossip Girl-inspired collection was all about women of Manhattan who express themselves with style. Sui, big in the NYC cool crowd herself, was totally taken with the drama, fashion and unique personalities of the show’s “it” girls. Together, at the height of Gossip Girl mania, we created a line of clothing that allowed women everywhere to feel like Upper East Siders.
“The spirit of the collection was meant to represent the style of the show’s characters. I think Gossip Girl was very influential on how girls dressed all over the world!”
