A: For all of you who think those answers are "cute" ... the reason for the question is that non-stick coatings, when heated, can create fumes which are deadly to birds. That said, ceramic heaters, because they lack the metal coils, do not have that type of coating.

A: If you read the description attached to this unit you will find that it states it will heat a 300-500 sqft room. To determine, multiply the rooms width times length ie 12x12 room would be 144 sqft.

Q: Just bought this, why does it blow both hot & cold on on setting I? And why doesnt it ever shut off? It did on day 1, today is day 2 and it just keeps going without rest.

A: It doesn't shut off because it is turned on. To shut it off, turn it off. It runs constantly because it is not thermostat controlled which means it doesn't know to shut off so you have to shut it off

A: There could be a slight smell in the inital use for the prodcution, after runnning the heater for a 15 or so minutes the smell should dissipate

The second floor of the house heater went out. A storm was coming and I was sick and was in need of a heater. I was able to order this online at Target.com and then go and pick it up at the store. This little space heater is adorable, it is very compact, but it can really heat a room. So don't let its small size fool you. The heater has little feet underneath it for falling over safety. It needs a hard surface for it to function. I have carpet and notice in the picture I have it sitting on a carpet protector or it shuts itself off. The buttons are easy to use. The one on the left is for volume of air. The button on the right allows for fan or heat function. It has a little handle on the back to pick up and move it. I really like my compact fan/heater.
