Display for battery faded to 1 and 1/2 bars after first and only dhave. Results of shaving results were very good. On completion of shave battery display completely disappeared. Norelco shavers have always been great quality till this particularly one. Shaver itself very good quality, very quiet and has a nice feel on the razor weight.

The weakest motor they could put in a shaver

I've come to realize they're putting tiny motors in these so the blades spin slow. Apparently this helps some people with razor burn, and it helps make the razor quieter. Unfortunately for the rest of us we just end up with a cheaply made tool that takes forever to shave with. My old linear cordless shaver was so much faster. Initially I bought a Braun but those blades spin extremely slow also so I returned it to buy this Philips. I simply cannot shave with this anymore because it takes so long. I don't even have much facial hair, and I can't even grow a beard. I'm just trying to shave the whiskers that grow on my cheeks and chin and it still takes way too long.

A Good Shaver If You Have A Light Beard

This a decent shaver if you don't have a heavy beard. It doesn't cut very close and if you press hard it will give you face burn. On the up side the battery rechanges quickly and lasts for a long time on a charge. It does have self sharpening blades. It is important to keep the shaver very clean for it to work properly.

Eject button breaks every 7 or 8 months

I've had this for roughly 7 or 8 months then the eject button on the front broke and won't stay shut, called and they send me a new one but again the button broke less than a year of use.

I normally attempt to heed my mother's advice to "say nothing at all if you can't say something kind." Unfortunately, it's challenging to heed that advise given how awful this product is. To be fair, I do have a thick beard, and I generally shave every day with a conventional razor. I believed that using this electric shaver on the weekends may be a smart idea. According to Norelco's instructions, you should use the razor for 21 days to acclimatize your beard to using an electric razor. Unfortunately, the shave I got from using this razor was dreadful. Three minutes after finishing my shave, I had a shadow at five. Even just after my morning shave, my wife wouldn't let me kiss her.
