Q: This might be a stupid question, but how do you use this? Lol. Like step by step. I put the head in the clean water, then wring it out, then mop, then put the head in the clean water again? Wouldn't that still just make the clean water dirty?
submitted by Iain - 2 years ago
A: Hello! I realize that this question was posted 5 months ago but for anyone else reading through these wondering this.....because I definitely was too before I bought it. What they don't show in the pictures or videos or description is the most important part! Inside of the bucket, not the spinny side but the clean water side, is a red plastic tab. You can kind of see it in some of the pictures. When you pull that up, it allows clean water to flow into the bucket. And when you push it back down it obviously stops the flow of water. So.....allow some clean water into the clean water side, wring it out, mop your floor, then when you want to rinse the mop, allow a small amount of water into the clean water side, allow your mop to soak it up then wring it out. Now your clean water side is empty and your mop is clean. Pull the tab to let water back into the bucket and use this fresh water to mop. And repeat. Hope this helps someone!

A: Lain-I'm with you on your question and they really don't explain it with their answer. You are definitely putting the dirty mop head back in the clean water. I was about to buy this until I started thinking about this.
submitted byGlenn - 2 years ago
A: Thanks for reaching out Lain! 1)Open the Flow Valve to allow water to fill the clean water reservoir. 2) Saturate the mop head with water 3) Wring out the mop head to the desired level by spinning it in the wringer basket. 4) Mop away! If you feel that the mop head is still holding a lot of moisture, you can wring it dry before going back to the clean water tank. Our mop allows the user to control the level of water they are applying to their floors. If you are mopping a stubborn mess that is stuck onto tile, you can step on the pedal just a couple times to leave a healthy amount of water still in the mop. If you are moping hardwood or linoleum, and don't want to apply too much water, you can step on the pedal seven or eight times to have the mop head just damp. So, if your mop head is still very wet after moping, it would be a good idea to wring out the excess water prior to going back to the clean water tank. Happy cleaning!

Q: This will sound stupid but how does the dirty water from the wringing section get to the tank below the clean water? I've checked the photos but still can't figure it out. lol Thanks for the help.
submitted by Sarah - 10 months ago
A: Hi Sarah, the new two-tank system features two compartments that separate the clean and dirty water. The clean water tank fills the rinse chamber with just enough clean water to be soaked up by the mop. When you spin the mop in the wringer, the dirt and water are wrung out into the bucket below. The rinse chamber refills with clean water, ready for your next rinse.

A: There is just one tank for water. So the only time the water is "clean" is when you first fill it. After that the "clean" reservoir has dirty mop in it from rinsing The spin water goes back into the one tank.

Q: What's the diameter of the mop head
submitted by Max - 3 months ago
A: Hi Max! The RinseClean plastic cord holder and the EasyWring plastic cord holder are different sized to accommodate the red triangle bases for each system. The refill is around 300mm.

Q: how do I get the mop head off to machine wash ?
submitted by Lori - 7 months ago
A: Hi Lori, that's a great question! To remove the refill from the base, we invite you to try the following steps: 1. Place the mop handle downward, so the microfibers are fanned out onto floor. 2. Step on Microfiber (NOT base) and pull the handle upward away from your face until the refill is detached. OR you may manually remove the refill by pulling the inner plastic frame on the microfiber from the inside of the red base. We hope this helps!

Q: Why is it recommended to replace the mop head after only three months? How many times a week of use is this time frame based on? Will it last longer if hand washed? How to know when to replace?

Q: How do you properly clean out the container? If you don't remove all the water just like a washer machine that isn't properly dried, it will create mold and eventually smell.
submitted by Elle - 1 year ago
A: We recommend rinsing as much leftover cleaning solution out with water as possible, empty and leave the blue fill cap and red flow valve open to air dry. If you are just using water, be sure to empty the water and let air dry occasionally to ensure a fresh, clean water rotation.

I absolutely love my o cedar mop, complete game changer. I love that it is a one system tool. Im able to wet, rinse, and wring my mop out without any hassle. The O cedar mop makes moping fun. It's easy to get into hard to reach areas with the swivel head. It's even great for wiping down walls. You can do anything with this mop.

Loved the original mop and wanted to try this for the clean reservoir but that’s the issue. You can’t open that part for it to dry so mold/bacteria may be able to grow inside. Also, very annoying how you let the clean water in. I had high hopes but sadly was returned.

Overall a decent mop. It gets the job done better then a basic Swiffer IMO & its more versatile. I like that the rod is adjustable so the kids can help clean. I also like that the excess water can be rung out so you can use the right amount of water for your space. However, I would likely just recommend the basic model as it holds more water. Also, I hope some changes are made to the product for future customers. The most noticeable problem is the size of the mop is too small so the plastic part it attaches to will scrape your surfaces if you don’t get the right angle. Also, the weight is unevenly distributed so the handle is useless- I’d recommend they add wheels for ease of use in the future. Extra attachments for a variety of surfaces would make this product really stand out.

Dont buy it uncomfortable, a plain bucket works better. The mop strainer is not so effective as a plains bucket strainer. Nor the 2 bucket system is convenient as well

I bought this system today, used it once and it's going back. The spin does not take enough water out of the mop to be able to just damp mop your floor. I ended up having the still wring it out by hand to get enough water out of it. On top of that, the mop head is not full enough to keep the hard plastic triangle from scraping your floor. Like I said, it's going back. If I have to hand wring I might as well just keep my old mop.

This mop is awesome. I love that the clean water and the dirty water are separate. My only complaint would be that the clean water tank is so small, so I am constantly refilling the water.

The clean water bucket is too small. It would take multiple fills to do an average house. Also the mop didn’t have enough fibers to keep the head from scraping on the floor. I returned this after one use.

I love using this mop, and bucket for cleaning up my wood floors. I hate touching the dirty mop, and the wringer makes it so you don't have to touch it with your hands. I love that mop head is washable, so that way your always cleaning with a clean mop head.
