A: hello… was not sure if customer above or several techs were correct about it including a hdmi cord .. well after buying one just in case……HDMI CORD IS INCLUDED WITH MONITOR——customer is a more reliable source.

My LG died after many years and I am so used to having to monitors to look at I started looking at monitors and settled on this Acer. It had good marks and I think they were deserved. Some people complain that it doesn't have speakers but I wasn't looking for that and this does what a monitor is supposed to do. display my photography in the right light. It was easy to set up and turn on, my system saw it and it picked up where the LG left off. It's a bit brighter but the brighter can be changed with the presets that are accessed on the back. it seems solid and time will tell (had it only 7 days) but so far so good.

There are no built in speakers with this monitor. So the only way to have any sound come out is to connect speakers to it, which takes away some of the usb ports making it difficult to have anything else connected.

Dear Mia, We are sorry you are unhappy with your Acer monitor specifications. Most monitors don’t come with speakers built-in because this would add size, weight, and price. In most cases monitors are connected to a desktop PC that already has an audio source connected, or a laptop that has built-in audio. Additionally, monitors with built in speakers are generally very low wattage, ie: 1W-2W; most users would prefer a more robust sound system via powered USB speakers or headphones for best quality sound. Great monitor for price but don’t be confused this model does NOT have built in speakers nor an input audio jack for any speakers. I bought as a Christmas gift for my son who plays Xbox and am struggling to find the right cord to run the audio from the Xbox to an external speaker since there is no audio jack anywhere on this model. If I had to do things again probably should have just purchased a small TV for the Xbox and his gaming setup instead but it is a nice looking monitor and would be amazing in a work computer or home office setting.

great 1080p monitor with solid vibrant colors. 60hz is low by today's standards but honestly its marginally gains from 60 to 144. Amazing speakers on this monitor too, very loud. for 200+ you can get 144hz or this.
