  • A: Thank you for your inquiry. Please note that when you start using the unit, you may hear bubbling and dripping. This is because there is only one entrance/exit from the tank. As water in the base is used, water from the tank will leave, and air will take its place. This can make a bubbling and dripping noise. While this is normally unobtrusive, it will lessen as the unit runs and the humidity in the area around the unit increase. There is nothing wrong or defective about this in either unit. It sounds like the mineral content in the water you are using is high, which can cause this ultrasonic humidifier to produce white dust on surfaces or furniture. To clarify, these types of machines turn the water into a mist and throw it out into the air. Whatever minerals/elements are in the water are also in the mist being put out by the machine. As the moisture evaporates into the air, the minerals/elements are left behind and will settle around the room as dust, and in most cases it is white. It is not harmful in any way; it is just the contents of your water. To prevent this from happening/reducing the amount of dust, distilled or purified water can be used in your machine. How did this item get past quality control? One week of use and you’ll start seeing mold and mildew that’s impossible to clean. I feel so bad for wasting so much money on it. Absolutely hate it. It’s not safe for babies at all.

Thank you for your review. Please note, we recommend using undiluted, distilled white vinegar for descaling and bleach for disinfecting. It is advised to perform this cleaning once a week, as outlined in the owner's manual. Also, whenever you turn your humidifier off you should empty any unused water and let the unit dry. Never leave the unit wet while it is off. If left wet inside while the unit is off, even just one time, it could grow mold/mildew. We hope this helps. I used to have the Frida brand humidifiers but found them really hard to clean with the narrow opening and none of the cleaning recommendations truly getting the mold out after hte season was over. Impossible to clean- way to many unreachable moldy crevices The dark part you see on the tank where the upper and lower part of the hood connect is not metal but black mold. Cannot be cleaned. I’m basically blowing black mold spores into my baby’s face!

I wanted to love this because it’s small and the colors are pretty, but the inside of the tank grew mold very quickly. I used it for a week and then cleaned it. Went to use it a month later and the inside of the water holder had mold in an area that trapped water. Tried to clean it again and could not reach where the mold grew. Garbage.

Horrible quality. The tank was covered by some unwashable lube, that serves like a perfect soil for mold. It doesn't matter how often we clean it,the goo was everywhere.

Don’t waste your money. It worked great for 2 weeks and then suddenly stopped producing mist. It turns on but does not work even after contacting the manufacturer and cleaning the item as instructed several times.

Nice looking but quite loud - not necessarily from the electronic components but the design creates significant drippage while running, so having it in a bedroom at night is a bit like having a dripping faucet Whisper quiet is only true if you’re talking about a kid who has just learned what whispering is and us trying to do it at full volume Takes up quite a bit of space for its size and required too frequent filling as well

Thank you for your feedback. This gurgling or bubble sound is completely normal when you turn on your humidifier for the first time. The sound will decrease after it runs for a few hours. If you are sensitive to sounds and plan to use your humidifier at night, we recommend for the first use, run your humidifier during the day for a few hours.
