  • A: Hi Ver, The WorkForce WF-2950 can be used with a Chromebook. Chromebooks have a built-in printer driver. You can find instructions for setting it up on the Epson support site for the WF-2950. Q: If the printer goes to sleep will it wake up when ready to print or will it go offline? Current printer is constantly offline after 2 hours. Can it be set to never go to sleep?

  • A: Hi LTguy, Is your Workforce WF-2950 connected via W-Fi? Some routers can lose connection after a printer goes to sleep. Changing your router settings may be a solution. If you want to change the power off, sleep, and wake from sleep settings on your printer, use the front panel controls to go to Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings. Hello: I've had this printer for 1 year and a month. The ADF is no longer functional. The main reason I made this purchase was because of the ability to scan multiple documents at once. I can't return it, so now what? I am highly dissapointed.

In terms of cost it is very cheap in the short term, but in the long term it is a waste of money. Since it is not economical at all, reloading cartridges are super expensive and it only accepts the original. For you to have an idea, a refill cartridge is almost half its value.

Printed a total of 13 pages on the lowest quality settings and ran out of the ink that comes with it. scanner jams EVERYTIME I try using the ADF!! very annoying since the entire reason for this purchase was to be able to quickly scan patients information while they are in my office.

I don’t know why I did not read the reviews before purchasing this printer. Printing quality is not good at all and I printed a few pages only to find out that I have to purchase ink that cost about the same amount I paid for the printer.

Purchsed 3-2023, for a device that has been around for years, it has been a nightmare to "Set Up". I am on Windows 10, and have downloaded the set up twice, filled out and selected all the options, connected via wire, printed the "test print" both times, to get to scan had to go back and download the "smartscan" which should have been in the "basic download". the only thing that worked was the "copier", still have not been able to print from the computer. Ran trouble shoot several times, "printer restricted" "printer Status not obtained, " "Device Mgr not obtained" and... "default printer" not selected even though I have set it several times. Dear Epson, this should be Plug and Play like my old WF-7510. I shoiuld have returned this, but I wont let you beat me. Why you do not want me to use this printer blows my mind! I am using a simple wire connection!!!! You have tried to make this too complicated!!! There isn't even a PRINT BUTTON ON THE MACHINE!!!! Thankfully I haven't tried to use the Apartments WiFi! I have been "Playing" with this thing for a week trying to get it to print...Ha! what a joke!

After 90 pages printed (yes 90), I had to buy a new ink cartridge. I’m not printing anything wild, just black and white assignments for school that are equivalent to just word docs. Insane. I would return if I could but I’m just barely outside the window.

Crappy Printer

Even the scanning sucks. I would NEVER recommend this printer. I had an alert that my black ink was low. I installed a brand new cartridge yesterday (3/13). I had to run an "update" on the driver in order to print out one black & white document. By today, with one short letter being printed, the ink level had dropped significantly. I could not print black & white because the color levels were "low". I have NEVER printed anything other than the test page in color. Low and behold, I install new color ink cartridges and almost instantly the BRAND NEW blank cartridge was low. I attempted to print in black and white. The print quality sucks. Skipped lines, etc. I cleaned the heads, I followed all the "cleaning" options and still nowhting. Put the old ink cartridge in and was able to print a low quality fully legible documdent. I hope Epson honors my warranty and either replaces this machine or give me a credit card/gift card for me to purchase a new one - preferrably not an Epson.

Don't buy save your money

Bought because it was on sale at target - just need a standard printer, every now and then maybe a full color page print (but rarely). The ink is used so extremely fast. I've changed the printer settings to a lower DPI but this printer is extremely slow (even to print a word document with no images takes about 1 minute per page, which is incredibly long for a printer). Furthermore, the ink is a pain to get because target rarely has in stock and you need to special order from other suppliers to get mailed to you. In the short run (i.e. the day you buy it) it seems like a good bet but it's been nothing but disappointing. I've had for a month and half.
