Fun build. I really liked the way the wiring is all hidden inside the build as well as the on/off switch.

This was a good build. I didn’t rate it as a 5 because after it was complete the light/ motor doesn’t work. I am not in the mood at this time to disassemble it to troubleshoot. The instructions should have had a section at the very beginning to wire up the battery pack and to test the motor and light “BEFORE” assembly.

Oh no! It's disappointing when your build isn’t going as planned. We're sorry to hear that the motor in the Lighthouse isn't working as it should. Please give us a call or chat at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can get the parts you need requested!

I have not opened the box to see if everything is included or if any pieces are missing. Review will be updated later. The box was absolutely destroyed upon delivery. The product was delivered without any protection and it shows. Even if the set itself is okay, retaining the box in good condition greatly maintains the value of the set. With how much the set cost, the condition of the delivery should not need to be a concern. I will not be ordering Lego from target online for shipping again and would not recommend anyone else does either.

I purchased this set for someone else so I have not had experience with the build. However, I read multiple reviews and watched several posted video reviews and knew that this was a perfect gift for a family member who loves LEGO sets and lighthouses. An awesome set.

A True Lighthouse Model

This set is really something special by Lego. The original model was made in a smaller micro figure scale and really appreciate Lego bumped it up to Mini-figure scale. This set is pretty unique for a Lego model, including the electronics and moving parts that you don't often see, and when they do show up in their Powered Up category, very rarely is it also made to mini figure scale. The building experience is great, this set includes a very special fresnel lens piece made just for this set to mimic that Lens used in a real lighthouse, and seeing details like this makes the book/building process very interesting. When the model is complete it holds up really well. Something about lighthouses just feel so timeless, so this set works great by itself or with virtually any other lego purchase you may have. Will attach some pictures with the Lighthouse in front of the Modular Building Series. As you can see it fits the scale very well, towering over the other buildings and grounded with your standard 32x32 baseplate. This set has me very anticipated for what Lego will come up with next, huge fan of seeing electronics and moving parts used in a model. For upkeep the only thing you'll have to worry about with the Lighthouse overtime is changing the batteries which are at the bottom of the rock foundation and very easy to access.

This was a very fun build to create. The end result was a beautiful piece of art that I could display nearly anywhere and it fit well. A few critics though would be to have highlighted borders around the pieces that are added in each step of the instructions. Trying to find where each piece was added to the build because a game of wheres Waldo at times especially when working with the base. Secondly, I feel like for the price of this set, a quieter motor could have been created and included in the set. When it's on its like listening to a powered pepper grinder. It's obnoxious to leave on and listen to for long periods.
Stunning set piece, great fun!

Got back into Lego a couple of years ago and this is by far my favourite set so far. The lighthouse was great fun to build with lots of clever techniques and it looks stunning in the corner of my office. The little details like the lit up fire place in the cottage or the kitten and the minifigures are also stand outs for me. The aspect I love most is the main rotating light with the Fresnel lens that looks incredible in darkness and is a real crowd pleaser. It's a great testament to the fan designer and the Lego team who turned it into a commercial product. Highly recommended!

This build was a lot of fun. It was my first motorized build and it was amazing how it went together with all the components. I put a light kit in the build and it really made it pop.

The Lego Lighthouse was/is my dream set. I had read many reviews before purchasing but none of the reviews really did it justice. Unlike some, I had no issue with the motor. It works perfectly (yes a little loud) and is easily accessible for battery changes. I love the use of both lights (fire and lighthouse) because the warm amber glow of the fire is such a beautiful contrast to the bright white beam. The build itself was fun and did not seem repetitive. Although there are only 2 minifigs, the lighthouse has kind of a moody before the storm feel and so two lego souls feels like the perfect amount. Plus the kitty and the seagull were a great addition to the set. It is expensive but, I know the motor and lights make up a chunk of the overall price and to me it was worth it. It truly is a beautiful set and looks phenomenal on display.

Let me just say this was such a fun build! It wasn’t complicated but so many good little hidden details and of course the motor made this build. I am so glad I picked this over the sorting hat. Sadly, it only took about 6 hours so as we all know we want another one.
SO MUCH DETAIL! Functional light is awesome

My son has been building since he was about 4 years old. He LOVES legos. He has built the Deathstar, every Star Wars Lego and Pirate ship made but he and I agree that this is one of our favorite builds yet! So much detail and a functional spinning lighthouse light is over the top! Not inexpensive- but worth it!!!
Cool Build!

Fun to build and great detail! One negative is there’s a flat tile in front of the bottom of the battery pack that blocks it from opening once completed. So if you need to replace the batteries you’ll be out of luck. You’ll either need to take it apart every time or leave out that one tile (it’s hidden anyway, so that works just fine).

This was my first set in 25 years. This brought back a lot of memories for me. My wife and I recently traveled the coast of Maine taking photos of lighthouses; this set is a perfect reminder of our trip and will go great next to some of our photos.

Another great build. Build time for me was six hours (over four months -- I'm a mindfulness builder, who does a bag or two on my infrequent days off), and it was a worthwhile set; the light inside the house and the tower is a nice touch. The first steps of building the craggy rock took a bit of time, and later I had to deconstruct-and-reconstruct the tower at points to make sure the wires were properly threaded through. When I was finishing off the tower, I kept dropping pieces down the tower shaft and had to flip it upside down the get them out. But a great build all-round, and it looks great next to the Titanic.

This was one of my favorite builds, it had multiple techniques and a few surprises along the way. The revolving and bright light topped off(literally) an already amazing set!!!
