The bottom line is that the majority of household laundry does not require germ kill or antibacterial treatment. For the best, most effective clean, use the hottest water allowed by the care labels on your clothing. If needed, you can add a germ killing or anti-bacterial additive to your wash.

A: No, these do have some fragrance to them. We don't have a scentless powder anymore, but we do have a Free and Gentle Liquid and pod detergents.

Best for your whites. I mix with normal detergent when washing the whites and everything comes back spotless. Doesn’t have the bleach odor as other products,i tolerate it better.

Smells like a house of ill repute on a Saturday night. I do not want my house smelling like perfume from one end to the other. I used white vinegar in the rinse cycle and rinsed twice. The kitchen towels will not smell of good cooking but cleaning soap. But - it gets the old yellow towels clean. I washed the rags we used to clean up the beige grout from the construction site, worked great. Tide people, does the perfume really make that much difference in performance? Lightn up! It lives in the garage in a sealed plastic bag. Yes, I will wash another load, and use more vinegar and rinses.

I love the clean scent. I use this to brighten my white sheets, blankets, socks, t-shirts, towels, etc. I prefer powder over liquid. I feel like I'm not paying for water downed powder. I have used this for 40 years.

I love love love this powder detergent it definitely get the colors bright and the whites the whitest they can be. I use a very small amount of the scoop of this product mixed in with the liquid tide ultra detergent too for that extra gusto for my clothes for each load of clothes and towels. My clothes and towels are so much brighter and fresher and the freshness last a long time too.

Fantastic clean, even in cold water! I use this detergent for washing cloth diapers, towels and rags, and my husband's work clothes, so the dirtiest laundry, and it never fails to get everything sparkling clean. It fully dissolves and rinses away as long as you don't overload the machine. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but it gets the job done and isn't horrible, so I'll stick with it.
