I just received this doll today that I purchased for my six year old granddaughter. I plan to give to my granddaughter as a present for ger birthday in August since I purchased the deluxe food truck for her Christmas 2020. I thought the food truck would be good along with the doll since food trucks are more popular in warmer months. I read the negative reviews on Target about the doll's dark complexion but in spite of the negative reviews I purchased for my biracial African American granddaughter and I know she will love Macy just as she loves the other OG dolls I have purchased for her in various shades of color. I purchased knowing that colorism is a big problem in our African American community but I'm teaching my granddaughter to be part of the solution and not part of the problem and by showing her that our community has beauty in many shades, light, brown and dark, and to love everyone because every shade is also reflected in her family tree. Macy is a really beautiful doll.

I have to say that I am very impressed with the details that went into making this doll. Her hair is very nice. The clothes are very high quality and look as if they will last for ages. I like that this doll has all flexibility. She isn't too heavy for a child to hold. She comes with little accessories that are sturdy. I received the "Our Generation" doll Macy a few weeks ago and she is well loved. Macy come with an apron, hat, play food, drinks and an order tablet and pen along with the skirt, shirt and shoes she was wearing. The dolls head, arms and legs move so you can pose her to sit or stand, her eyes shut when laying down and she has a soft mid body. It was hard to get her hat on with her hair styled the way it come and doll does not easily hold the accessories she come with such as the tablet, pen or tacos. My daughter absolutely loves Macy! She comes all decked out in her food truck outfit(hat and apron included!). There is also food. Tacos! With hot sauce on the side. It's so adorable. Also a smoothie and a cute fruit cup. Bright colors make the food pop. The little details are what make it. The doll is very well made. Eyes open and close when you lay her down. The body is well made. The clothing is well made also. Very cute and simple outfit. An outfit a girl would wear and have in her closet. The doll hair is fantastic! It's so pretty. The doll even comes with instructions on how to care for the hair. Which I love that. I think that is a great idea. Such a small detail but it makes a huge difference. This is the sweetest doll, my daughter loves it. I love how many accessories this doll came with. My daughter loves taking pretend food orders and having a little pretend food truck to invite us to. She plays with this doll for hours. I like how it is really the complete play experience where you get the doll, clothes, and an activity. The outfit is cute and easy to throw in the laundry as our doll has been fed some real food and ‘made a mess’. The apron looks so real, ties easily in the back. When you lay the doll down her eyes close which has been a saving grace at nap and nighttime. I love how it encourages imaginative play. I highly recommend this doll set!
