ProCat Breakaway Size 5 NFHS Ball - White

This was a gift for a twelve year old. I ordered it online because the one in the store had been opened and was used. My expectation was the one ordered would be new. What arrived was a broken package, but without apparent usage. Although disappointed it was ok to give as a gift. As for the product, I chose a more expensive soccer ball because it has a texture on the surface. The gift was well received and it plays with well compared to the typical smooth surface ball. It was curious that the color options dictated the cost. Due to the packaging and the cost inconsistency, 4 stars instead of 5 was given. Otherwise this soccer ball was exactly what was requested. It is similar to the game ball they use at the park.

This ball has a great exterior, very clean design. Unfortunately the ball is too light. Was looking for decent quality game balls for matches to not use the same balls I use for practice. On the box this ball felt great. Purchased 2 of them. But when I brought them out to training session for feel test with full air, the ball was way too light. My middle school boys had a blast shooting some midfield bangers, but when it came to training we put those balls aside and used the old ones. I brought these balls for my middle school girls, I thought maybe they would prefer a lighter ball than the ones I’ve been using with them, but even they said the ball was too light and preferred the heavier old balls. Overall this ball is great for maybe a kid under 12 who is just getting into soccer. Ball is light enough to perform some of the more advance shots in the game. For training I would suggest for a u12 rec team as their first size 5 ball moving up from size 4. But this ball not suited for any competitive team training. Price wise I’m a bit conflicted. The ball does have a good quality exterior and clean design, but being more expensive than the cheapest adidas ball I expected an overall better ball. Ultimately it comes down to purpose of the ball, if you’re looking to get this for a young kid who is starting out in soccer, price is great for a good ball. If you’re looking for a ball for yourself or someone who plays a little more competitive, ball is a little over priced and would recommend instead the $20ish adidas ball, as the weight resembles more to what you will find most people playing on For now the balls I purchase do make their appearance from time to time to my middle school girls training sessions, mainly to work on their confidence in headers as the ball is light enough and soft enough to header as opposed to my heavier harder balls. Hope this review helps anyone looking to purchase a soccer ball for themselves or as a gift to someone else

Ball is too light. If you play soccer regularly, this is not the ball you want.

You can tell this ball is quality. It can even be used in a High School game as it has been certified by the NFHS.

This is by far the best soccer ball at Target. Also, it doesn't look or play like a kids ball!
