IAMS Proactive Health Minichunks Lamb and Rice Recipe Adult Dry Dog Food - 5lbs

I am angry that this food contains chicken by product meal as well as chicken meal. Paying for lamb but receiving both not straight lamb. Bet this is what is ailing my dog as chicken bothers her digestion.

We adopted Sasha, our shepherd mix, 1 and a half years ago. She has always had this food. Our other rescue was 16 years old and she was on Iams her whole life. Any dog I will ever have will be on Iams. Thank you.

My dog has thrown up after every meal since I started this food. I can’t even use it anymore.

When I substituted it for his normal dog food (Member’s Mark brand) he chowed down on the IAMS and was definitely excited. It seemed to settle well in his stomach also; he wasn’t whiny or acting like he had an upset stomach. I think he really loves the taste also. I’ve heard really great things about IAMS. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually I have a hard time finding a good dog food my dog likes, but this one was a hit. I typically add bone broth to get him to eat and enjoy and I didn’t have to do that with this dog food. I still do because I know he loves it but at least now I know I don’t NEED it. I do have a sliiiight issue with the ingredients, I see a lot of corn towards the top of the list but it’s not a complete deal breaker. I monitor his health and as long as he’s ok and the vet says he’s all good I’m not completely worried.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own 2 small dogs and they absolutely loved this food. I never usually feed them dry food, but after seeing how they ate this one, I’m definitely considering switching over. If you’re looking for good dry dog food, I can’t recommend this enough.

He is always happy and excited when seeing this bag of food because he knows this is for him. He is a small dog, so I think this small size piece of food is perfect for him.

The PROACTIVE HEALTH dog food by Iams has been a great addition to my dog’s meals! He can be a little picky about what he eats but has taken a liking to this food. The kibbles are smaller in size which can be great for all different breeds. I would recommend this product and flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am relatively picky about what I let my dog eat everyday because so many pet food brands are questionable, and I really care about what my dog is consuming. I have always been skeptical about IAMS as a brand, but when I saw the opportunity to give their new formula a try- I jumped at the opportunity and I was pleasantly surprised with iams. For my dog, we selected and tried the Proactive Health Lamb and Rice recipe. The first thing I noticed about this formula was the size of the kibble. IAMS has what they call “minichunks” technology, which is the perfect sized kibble for my small 15lb dog. I really loved the size of the kibble because sometimes the pieces can be too big and it makes me nervous about the ease of her consumption. In terms of taste- I try to mix up my dogs proteins to keep her interested in eating and not getting tired of the same thing. For this- the lamb was perfect, and my dog seemed to really enjoy the taste. The brown rice added fiber to her diet and promoted healthy digestion. Overall, I was pretty impressed with her energy levels and digestion after almost a month of feeding her this brand of food. This trial has definitely changed my opinion of the IAMS brand overall, and I am generally pleased with their new formula. I would definitely consider IAMS in the future for my dog food needs.
