Pros: Easy to set up, easy to read the screen. Cons: The Velcro band is difficult to use. Where the rough part stops and fuzzy stuff starts, there is a fold in the band. It's extremely difficult to get that to fasten correctly with one hand (especially for smaller arms, or ones that fasten right at that folding point). The app integration is lacking. I have a Fenix 6 watch. If I want to add my blood pressure which is an option under health stats, I have to add it manually. I also have issues to it connecting via wi-fi/bluetooth to the app on my phone. I bought this blood pressure monitor because it's Garmin, and because I thought that it would automatically collect my data and give me the ability to see a comparison over time. I still have yet to find that capability. Although, I admit this could be user error. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it does what it's supposed to do. It takes my blood pressure. However, I do feel like the ability to use it on one's self could be easier, and the app could have some better functionality.

Invited the Mrs… it would not allow both phones to be connected. What else is the point???? The device and the app suggested I add other users then would not allow it. I hate this

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review! I'd like to address your concerns to hopefully improve your experience and that of others. The battery cover is located along the bottom edge of the device, opposite from the display. Fold back the edge of the cuff material to expose the button to release the cover. Press the button firmly and lift the cover away from the housing. The batteries can be replaced. Make sure to observe the polarity markings when replacing batteries. Index BPM Smart Blood Pressure Monitor uses four AAA batteries. I'm sorry to hear that you experienced inaccuracies with your Index BPM! Here are some tips for getting a good measurement: • Read all of the instructions before measuring. • Avoid eating, smoking, or exercise before measuring. • After sliding the cuff strap onto your arm, relax for at least 5 minutes before measuring. • Use the same arm each time you measure. • Measure at a consistent time of day. • Avoid tight or bulky clothing that could constrict blood flow. • Avoid talking during measurements. • Avoid distractions during measurements. Wanted to love it. If you have small arms this is the device for you. Unfortunately for me it’s worthless as the strap is fixed and you’re not able to get a large size cuff with the device. Garmin please make larger cuffs.

I am looking forward to my appointment with my cardiologist in August and having ALL of my testing results right in my phone; along with my notes whenever numbers just don't seem to add up correctly. I really ,like the capability of the device to upload to my Garmin Account where I can monitor all of my health parameters. However, this is the second one I have gotten, the first one only lasted about 6 months and then would get an E3 error and would not hold pressure, I tried other batteries, no help. I like the upload capability enough to try another one.

When it worked it was great. Very accurate. It was good for my wife and I to easily use. It would send our BP to Garmin Connect on each of our phones correctly. Until it stopped a month ago. It will only remember me or my wife, but not both. We have completely reset the BPM, ensured it had all updates, removed/added Connect, looked everywhere for a solution all to no avail. We are not the only people having the problem. Two months ago this would have been 5 stars, now it is on the rapid decline.

I've tried a few different portable cuffs, both arm and wrist, and this one has consistently matched the reporting I see at the doctors office. I appreciate the easy to adjust cuff, though it took me a little while to figure out a technique to keep the control unit from rotating around my arm while I tighten it. I love that it is easy to stow, and fits into my travel gear nicely. My only gripe is that it really should come with a hard travel/storage case. The cuff is a magnet for dust and hair, so I usually just keep it stored in the box it was delivered in at home. I won't deduct points from the units function for that, and that the instruction booklet didn't include instructions on how to swap the batteries. I shouldn't have to google such a basic function of the device. Again, not deducting points from the review since the device is still great.
