Q: Is this Polypropylene like past versions?

  • A: I'll answer this question myself, the pots have a #5 in the recycling symbol with the letters PP, which indicates it IS still polypropylene. These may not be freeze proof like the prior 20 years of iterations, because the sides are more vertical. They also are not as stable because of changes in design. I'm torn because I count on these and I have a whole bunch of plants. I want to move but I don't know where I want to put them yet! And these are my go-to for keeping my plants alive with less active maintenance! Anything? That's not a succulent loves these. And a drop of dish soap every now and then in the base will keep bugs from laying eggs or at least the eggs from hatching. But polypropylene is one of the safest plastics to use and can withstand a number of years. Well these have proven to last a number of years outside in ultraviolet. I don't know if that's inherent with polypropylene or if they have UV resistance off hand.

Q: Does the planter have an adjustment-so the depth can be adjusted?

  • A: No, it is sold in various itterations of depth. You probably could cut a circle of plastic or wood that is incapable of sliding down, and drill a hole to feed a 'wick' to draw moisture from the base to self water for a short period, but its not like those that have a 12" deep removable plastic plant container at top so it merely elevates your plant from the ground.

    Beautiful Planters, but Fused Together by a Vacuum Seal from Hell

    The Product: The planters themselves are gorgeous outdoor vases. They have a sleek modern look, a nice finish, and molded drainage slits on the bottom. If you can actually get them apart to use them, they would be lovely. ​The Experience: I ordered a pair of these for mobile drive-up pickup. Unfortunately, Target employees rammed them so tightly together to save space that they arrived completely fused. Because they are smooth plastic, nesting them created a powerful vacuum lock and mechanical friction along the entire cylinder length. There was no gap at the rim to get a tool in, and despite trying a garden hose blast through the bottom drainage slits, temperature shocking them with ice and hot water, and gravity drops on the grass, they will not budge. ​To make matters worse, because the drive-up employee placed them directly into my back seat, I didn't get a chance to look at them closely right away. Once I got them out, I realized they are also covered in scuff marks from being jammed together and mishandled. They are effectively one solid, damaged, heavy object right now. ​The Customer Service Dissatisfaction: When I contacted customer service, I was told they could only ship me one replacement planter unless I drove all the way back to the store to return the stuck pair. The kicker? The local store is completely out of stock of these, meaning a long, frustrating drive just to return a defective, scuffed-up item with no option to actually walk out with the second planter I paid for. ​If you buy these in-store, make sure you can physically separate them and check for scuffs before checkout. If you do drive-up, check your back seat before you leave the parking lot!

    Target Disappoints

    Worst purchase I've ever received from Target. Notv1 but both planters show signs of wear and tear. Both are chipped at the too, have scratches on the sides and are dirty. Not at all what I expect from Target!!! So disappointing 😞

    Love these pots!

    LOVE LOVE these pots!! They are very durable, solid, sturdy, and somewhat heavy to help with stability. I bought these to put a spruce tree in them and use as decor for my front porch. They worked perfectly. Highly recommend

    12 x 21 inch outdoor planter

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we were in need of a very large planter bowl to place outside on our front patio area. This amazing planter fit the bill. You can easily add a number of different items to give this planter a nice look. You can Easily add in real flowers or fake ones. This large planner could also be used to store your umbrella umbrellas inside of your entryway. There are multiple different uses for this very large planter.

    Environmental recycled Planter

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We grabbed this Recycled Resin Indoor/Outdoor Planter and its been a solid purchased. Sturdy and dependable, with an attached saucer to keep things tidy when used indoors. Not the flashiest of all planters but not an eyesore either. Helps bring attention/beauty to our living space. Absolutely would recommend.

    Neat planter for indoor outdoor

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This recycled resin planter checks all boxes. Can use it anywhere. Has a fitted tray so no worry about matching one and minimalist look. Lightweight but sturdy. Pine green color seems not so compatible with newer greens outdoors but better for winter. Need some tall plants now to put in. Nice design.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the size of this outdoor planter. I'm actually not using it for plants. I am going to use it for baseball bats and umbrellas. We have a busy household, so having this by the door for those things will be very useful. The planter itself is very, very light. I was expecting it to have more heft to it and be more solid. I've only had it for a couple days at its cracked already. Which is a bummer.

    Black Recycled resin planter

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This black recycled Resin indoor outdoor planter is made with a nice quality resin material and seems pretty heavy duty. The bottom part seems to be a little crooked though and I’m hoping I can adjust it. It’s pretty big and measures 12x21 with a tall circular design and simple style. This is a nice sized pot for the prize. I’m satisfied with my purchase.
