A: Hello Gina, the 11.3 G LiftTop Wastebasket was designed with hidden hinges on the backside of the unit so a trash liner can be put in place without removing the lid or interfering with the hinges.

I like everything about it, except for the lid...If lifted & left open, the lid detaches & hits the floor, the sound often startling us! Then we have to reattach. It's annoying, & often yucky.

Got one as a trash can for the patio. Can’t beat the price specially when Target has discounts on these types of home items. It’s a great size, lightweight, and does the job. Don’t have to worry about moving it when it’s raining as it keeps the water out. Would recommend as long as you don’t mind having to manually lift the lid to put things inside.
