I purchased this as a Christmas gift. As many have mentioned, the box arrived damaged and the handle was sticking out and chipped. I contacted Target for a replacement, and the replacement arrived in the exact same manner. I was hoping the third time would be the charm, but unfortunately that one arrived the same exact way. This product isn’t sold in my local stores so shipping was the only option. Extremely disappointed. Don’t waste your money or time.

Disappointed - 8 months ago, Verified purchaser
My pan was fedexed frim Chino California to Michigan. I would like to show the employee who packed this heavy iron pan what happened to it when they threw it in a box without any wrapping or filler. This employee just created more expensive landfill bc nobody wants a chipped pan as a gift. Everyone knows fedex throws packages. It rattled all the 2000 miles and the handle was sticking out a hole in the box when it arrived on my porch. Shameless.

This skillet had the potential to be a beautiful skillet. Actually is is a beautiful skillet. However when it arrived to my house it was already damaged. Why? Because who ever packed it didn’t pack and y bubble wrap or cushion or extra boxing. Just the packing box and unprotected skillet. And it arrived Chipped. What a total disappointment. Called customer service and got a refund. I reordered another one for pick up just to be told it was out of stock and picked a replacement. Picked a Lodge 13 in skillet and decided to just take a look in the store myself and guess what I found the white skillet. I was still going to keep the 13 inch skillet substitution. But guess what? They gave me a 12 inch skillet and charged me for a 13 inch one instead. I had to go inside and return it. Was just disappointed all around with my experience at the target considering it’s a top tier location and store. The customer service today sucked and it all started with an improper packaged skillet. I found the skillet I wanted. And I hope it works out. But I wish they would be more diligent when packing fragile items.

I received this item in a box and the handle of this frying pan was protruding through the box. The box was crushed and unsealed. The pan was smashed into a box that was too small with absolutely no packing material. The enamal coating where the handle meets to pan was cracking and chipped. I sent it back for a replacement. Hopefully it will be packaged better.

The frying pan is nice and big but it is not functional for all meals or frying. If you want a frying pan for a specific food item, this is the perfect frying pan for fried meats, but if it is for other things I think not.

I have been using the cookware for about a month and continue to be pleased with it’s performance. Remember-enamel is fragile and you MUST treat it with care!!! I have had no issues with cracking or chipping. I also did save the black rubber protectors that came with the cookware (on the edges) and use them if stacking or putting lids on when cookware is not in use. I have the whole set and have been happy with all of it. I have a gas range so it has been exposed directly to flames and is fine. Also, I recommend buying the braiser if you buy this pan because I did discover the lid to the braiser fits this pan. I intend on buying additional pieces from the collection because I am so pleased with it’s performance.

It’s the first cast iron frying pan that doesn’t rust; easy to clean and to keep seasoned.

Wow, this exceeded expectations! I seasoned it to make sure it would be nonstick and it worked perfectly. My omelette slid out of the pan with nothing sticking. What a fantastic price for this large skillet! So glad I took the chance and bought it.

I purchased or was sent a total of 4 of these pans. Literally every single one had huge chips of paint on the handles. Every single one.

Pretty decent skillet for price I saw some reviews and I do have some more heavy duty pans, but I think with proper care it will last a good while hope enamel doesn’t chip badly (but unfortunately some of my better skillets have micro chips on outside (so I just hope it works out okay(it’s not as expensive as other cast irons so I’ll take my shot) very pretty Decent skillet

This arrived in perfect condition and was very pretty! We have used it probably six times since. I have noticed several chips along the edges. I have used alot of higher end enameled cast iron brands and have never had this issue. But There is also a huge price difference! If you don't cook much and just want a pretty pan you will be fine. But if you cook alot and plan to use this on a weekly basis, I suggest paying for the good stuff.

The first time this shipped, it was just a skillet in a box and the handle broke through the box. The handle broke. I had issues with returning/exchanging in store, so I chatted online with someone. They quickly resolved the issue and sent out a new one. This one actually had some packaging inside to protect the skillet. It says it doesn’t need seasoned, but it probably does. I’ve used it a handful of times now and I can’t make an omelette without destroying it because it sticks to the pan. It’s otherwise a very sturdy skillet (and heavy). Those that say the handle is too short don’t own any Lodge skillets! Lol
