[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 12” melamine oval serving tray by Hearth & Hand. This platter is the perfect size serving tray and looks beautiful. The blue plaid is beautiful and the melamine is super sturdy. You can use this for desserts, a cheese and cracker board or for dinner, just throw your steaks and baked potatoes on it and put on the table. It also would be great for a centerpiece with a candle or fresh fruit. It is beautiful and easily wipes clean or you can toss it in the dishwasher.

We use ours on the TV table as a decorative piece holding a candle, remotes, and other small items. This would also make a great platter for sharing a dish this summer at a party.

To me it just makes me think of summer. It’s great to use outside because it’s made from melamine. It’s very durable and practical design. This has a gingham print with blue and white checkers are in the center and a solid blue around the edge. This is a very decent size and you can definitely put a lot of food or whatever you would like to serve on this tray. This is like a hard acrylic material so it would be perfect for outside use.

It will get lots of use throughout the summer and I appreciate that is dishwasher safe and very easy to clean. The size of the platter itself is nice because it will fit a lot of food.

It is that nice plastic type of material, so it won’t break very easily. I could see it working well, especially for a barbecue- put the patties and hot dogs on this after they’re done cooking and ready to serve the guests. The blue and white gingham definitely makes me think of a summertime cookout.

We have a pool and I love melamine things to use for food by the pool so there is nothing that can break or shatter as a safety measure. There was a defect on the one I got so I’m going to exchange it.
