The self cleaning brush roll is the only thing I like. Honestly this and the facts that I truly liked my Shark® Rocket® Corded Stick Vacuum HV302 were why I purchased it. But I’ve had it for about a month and can’t use it for more than two minutes and the engine overheats. I mean to the point that I’ve burned myself. I wish I knew how to fix it or replace it but that’s not the only problem. It’s dirt container only fill up on one side and not the entire thing. This makes you have to empty it more often than anything should ever be emptied. Horrible design. Like what’s the reason. I wish my old one never got old or died. Cutting tangles out of the brush head are less frustrating this this.

I am on my third replacement, the motor stops working after 3 months. Do not buy!!!

I bought this after having a Shark Rocket for the past five years (it was incredible). It unfortunately was dropped during the move and the ultralight was the only locally available replacement so I could finish cleaning the apartment. It picks up hair and dirt fairly well, but struggles with the few bits of cat litter that are inevitable when you have hard floors and a cat! The biggest issue I have with this vacuum is that it whines at such a high pitch that my ears ring for hours after using it. It is so loud that it can be heard on the other side of the building we live in when I use it. It has been this loud since the first use, and I have cleaned the filters regularly. I'm bummed because of how great my previous shark vacuum was, and this one is nowhere near as good.

I was so excited for this vacuum. It was my first Shark in a new home. After using this once a week for about a month, it started to overheat and shut off after less than five minutes of use. I've checked the filters, every entrance and tube and hose for any blockage. I empty the main trap before it's full to ensure that is not the problem. The vacuum simply overheats after each bedroom, so it takes nearly a full day to vacuum my entire house. Sadly I would not recommend this vacuum, but I will say that when it is running properly, it works great. Hair doesn't get trapped in the wheel, it's easy to use, and it's very light. However, I don't enjoy spending an entire day vacuuming my home.

UltraLight has excellent cleaning performance -- better than any upright, central vac or Eureka. Only negative: cannot stand upright; must be laid down to shift furniture or remove dust cup. How about Shark adding a "kick stand" that secures to main section when lying flat but can be opened to keep vacuum upright.

Works great on pet hair (and my long hair that sheds!). Not the biggest canister, but it isn’t too small to be effective. Good power. A little top heavy, but it just feels different than a standard upright vacuum, and you get used to it.

Pros: Easy to store (follow the directions), good sucking power, great swivel head so you can get in all the corners, highly convertible for furniture, small spaces, and your car. Great for both wood floor and carpet. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. Cons: You have to dump the dust keeper quite a bit. I typically dump it 3 times for my 1 bedroom apartment. The vacuum head is a little small, so if you live in a bigger space you might have to run it more times than you're used to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK, so we already own 3 regular vacuums and they're pretty heavy and they all work so well they're hard to use due to the extreme suction they have on carpeted floors making it hard for my wife to use. We got this smaller vacuum hoping it would be easier to handle than the regular vacuums are and it is. It's much lighter and does a really good job for it's size. The only downside is the debris container is relatively small but it's very easy and quick to dump and put the vacuum back in operation. Of course, the big question was how much easier is it to use? And the answer is a lot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great companion to my shark robot vacuum. I use it to clean hard to reach areas like behind appliances and on top of ceiling fans. The attachments and tubes give you many configurations to choose from. My favorite is the flat dust brush that I use for cleaning the tops of high shelves and ceiling fans. The floor vacuum head is great too. It does well on our hardwood floor as well as area rugs and our cowhide rug. A++

It's very lightweight and very easy to control. My wife loves it so she can do the vacuum without my help (let me make it clear that I mainly do vacuum because my old vacuum is so big and heavy so my wife never touches it and let me do all the work by myself!). It has 2 functions for both carpet and hard floor cleaning. The wand is removable makes it easier to clean every corners of furniture, the wall and even the ceiling. The vacuum is very powerful. It has LED lights on the nozzle that helps to reveal dust and stains. It even catches up pet hair very well. I feel my house is so clean and neat.

They were very wrong about that, just wasted money. We have heard about this one for a while now. Buying this Shark ultralight stick vacuum with the self cleaning brushroll was a very good idea and investment. This vacuum is very easy to use and does great on carpet and hardwood floors. The Shark has to many features to list. We will not buy anything other vacuum after using this one. It can get in places that are hard to reach and is great on picking up pet hair. You can’t go wrong buying one for yourself.

The ONLY reason I dropped a star is the vacuum head is so light, on carpet, it lifts up when you pull the vacuum backwards. I'm 5'9" and my husband is 6'3" so that may be contributing to it, but I think the vacuum head could stand to be a little bit more weighted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just used my Shark UltraLight Corded Stick Vacuum with Self-Cleaning Brushroll. It is not too heavy, but it’s not as light weight as I thought it would be. It is a little awkward wrapping the cord when finished, because it is top heavy and does not stand alone. My Shark Rocket lays sturdy to the wall; this seems a little more unsteady. It is also a little hard to guide. It pivots at times I don’t want it to and them is stiff at times I’m trying to turn it. I like my Rocket better, but yet am very happy to have this. What if my battery is dead on my Rocket? This stick has a cord and I get get right to it with zero delay. Also, this has mega suction!!! It picked up so much fine dust/dirt in one swipe.

Even the elderly need to vacuum and I was looking forward to having a lightweight stick vacuum for my quilt studio. The vacuum will not stand upright unless the hand held portion is removed. I struggled to release the hand held vacuum and finally had my husband release it. Wrapping the cord for storage but needing to leave some slack to be able to reattach the hand held vacuum was messy. Never used it. Too much hassle. Returned.

It’s a great vacuum! It’s a great size so I can in between my house and camper. I love that it has two modes, one to clean carpets And one for bare floors! It’s very easy to use! This vacuum is not heavy. I am wowed by the suction power! The suction power cleans everything on your carpet or floors, even those pesky little pieces of lint. I was able to vacuum under beds, low tables and chairs easily. There is even a led light so you do not miss anything in dark places. My favorite feature has to be the self-cleaning brushroll. I do not have a pet, but I do have long hair, and I do not have to worry about my hair wrapping around the brushroll. Sucks up the hair and it goes directly into the dust cup. The handvac has made it so easy for me to keep my couch free of crumbs. Accessories included are an anti-allergen dusting brush, pet crevice tool and upholstery tool. The dust cup is easy to empty. The cord is long enough to vacuum a large room. Does not take up a lot of room in your closet. You do have to learn it on the wall because will not stay upright on its own, but that does not bother me. I highly recommend to those who want a quick and easy vacuuming experience.

It’s odd that it has a locked position as if it would stand up because it doesn’t stand up on its own. You also can’t lean it on anything because it’s too top heavy and slides down. Not what I would consider lightweight at all. But it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark ultra-light corded stock vacuum is super easy to use and works great. Love that is is small enough it makes storing it easy. It’s nice for small messes you can set it up quickly, clean up the mess and go on about your business. I will say it is somewhat heavy still even though it says it’s ultra light but it’s not too bad once you get used to it.
