Cute pumpkin to use for crafts (like decoupage).

We aren’t using this as a carvable pumpkin, so I can’t speak to the quality for that but it seems like it should hold up. We are using it to put painted handprints on! I ended up getting it for $9 (half off) the day after Halloween!

Way too difficult to carve. I have an electric serrated carving tool and it was way too difficult. I gave up and now can only return the three I didn’t use 😞

Great for painting or decorating.

I go through a lot of foam pumpkins and this is one of my faves. I use saws for cutouts and a Dremel Stylo for shading. This pumpkin is easy to repaint if you need a different color and because it's a little more compact than some other brands it's easier to store or ship.

I would give no stars if I could. It’s mean to be for carving but seemed almost impossible to carve. My kids (9 &13) struggled because the foam is so hard. If you’re going to carve w kids, I’d recommend an electric carving knife or a heated tool specifically for foam crafts.

It was obvious by the picture taken, the delivery was left at a totally different place. The address was very clear, so I assume the delivery service that was used did not know how to read!! I just lost $38. Never again will i use TARGET!

Love being able to keep my carved pumpkins year after year vs having to carve ~20 fresh pumpkins every year. This was totally worth the investment, now I can save time for decorating and my hand doesn’t go numb for the season. Before carving, leave these fake pumpkins outside for a few days to air out the chemical smell, try to avoid direct sunlight if possible, I found that it makes them brittle and even more difficult to carve (they’re difficult enough as is to carve, no need to make it worse). I recommend using a finely serrated blade with a pointy tip (I use the craft pumpkin tool by Pumpkin Masters) and take your time when carving or the tool will snap. Avoid carving along the seams, that’s a nightmare, and will also cause the fine serrated blade to brake. Wearing a mask is a must when carving, I even go as far as wearing an apron so I can shake it off outside to avoid the fine powder on my clothes and in my lungs. This does require quite a bit of vacuuming since it does make a mess. When making the hole at the bottom, don’t use your fine tool or it will snap, use a regular sized carving tool or knife, just use caution to avoid slicing your fingers.

I don't know how this would carve... but we really like it as decor. It's nice inside but could easily blow away outside due to the lightweight.

Great quality and looks real. Used it to make ghost with my babies feet.

A little harder ti cut than a regular pumpkin but it's possible. Your arm will be sore the next day but I think it was worth it because I have a pumpkin that will last hopefully for years. I recommend start with a sharp edge knife and do the more intricate design and work your way to the smoother lines. Little smell but doesn't last.

I liked being able to carve a “pumpkin” with less mess. I would have like it to be at least a pale orange on the inside rather than white so it looks more realistic. Maybe once it’s lit with a candle in the dark it won’t be as obvious it’s a fake pumpkin. The actual carving was pretty easy using a pumpkin carving tool kit.

Easiest to carve with a serrated knife!! And for round shapes it’s best to outline your design and slowly deepen the indentions. I made a wine (bag) dispenser! I may also draw on a jack-o’-lantern face in sharpie. Would only be better if the foam/plastic material were orange and not white, and if it weren’t as expensive. Very glad my edges are hidden

I like the fact that we can carve it and keep it forever and not have to worry about it rotting or the mess that comes with carving real pumpkins. The downside is that it’s not that easy to carve these faux pumpkins. I suggest using the smallest skinniest carving tool, that’s been the easiest for us.

These pumpkins are great for carving. I’ve been using them for years. I use an xacto blade with small saw attachment. I then put small hooks on the sides and hang them on the porch.

Very to cute to leave as is. But wanted something to carve without the mess as their description says. But it is VERY hard to carve. & it does smell wierd. Would not recommended for Carving. Just for decor.
