Q: What was the answer to the 1st question, please? Again, this question (actually 2 questions) asked whether or not you have to continue to add water to this fountain and is it hooked up to water?

A: No, it's not hooked up to water.The base is basically a bucket & an inner tube connects the pump to the top dish to bubble out the water. The water falls back into the bucket.

A: No. You may have to brush/clean off the water entrance to the motorized filter as it can be obstructed by flower petals. dead leaves, and other debris hindering the operation. Keep filter submerged.

This fountain adds so much to my patio. I followed advice in other reviews about buffering the running toilet-like sound by adding cut up pieces of a pool noodle, and it works like a charm. The fountain set up was easy. I added topped off the finish with some pebbles on top.

This arrived much darker green than we expected so we sprayed it with foam bleach and a bamboo scrub brush and it removed alot of the darkness and we love it. There’s a picture before and after in the review photos. We purchased two and they are great quality, the water sound is not like a running toilet! It’s very relaxing! Would highly recommend!

I love this bubbler fountain! It’s exactly the style and size that works for us. It sounds a little louder if placed against a solid surface. It is at edge of patio and sounds are perfect. Water sounds help distract from leaf blowers and neighbor noise.

This is beautiful fountain. It’s the perfect size and I love the finish. I also followed the recommendation of previous reviewers and put some styrofoam inside the basin to fix the echoey sound. I actually just used some pieces of styrofoam that came in it’s box! Easy peasy and now I have the perfect fountain for a great price!

I read the reviews on this fountain before purchasing. Most of the negative reviews came from the fountain sounding like a running toilet, and indeed, it does sound like a running toilet. The fountain is on my front porch, so I don’t really have to hear it unless I’m sitting outside. I bought the fountain for aesthetics anyway. It’s gorgeous. I don’t mind the sound, but what disappoints me is the pump has quit working after a couple of weeks. It’s not the end of the world, and pumps are inexpensive, but it’s the principle. This fountain wasn’t cheap.

I just read the review titled ‘Toilet Fix’ and am greatful for your recommendation of the pool noodle! The sound of the fountain was harsh and not quite relaxing but with adding a piece of a pool noodle inside the reservoir it sounds relaxing now. The pot it is in is beautiful!

Just got this for Mothers Day. I read the reviews and saw the comments about the toilet, but didn’t quite understand until I plugged it in - and I totally heard the toilet. I took the advice of someone who said they used a pool noodle and put some foam type of material in the reservoir and a few rocks on top. I am very happy with it- hence the 4 stars. I say it’s a keeper!

I was looking for a simple fountain- no frogs or ancient ruins look. Color is pleasing. Design is simple. Straightforward set up. Nice long cord. A bit short in height (16"), so I placed it on a 10" plant stand. Much better look. I'll surround it with succulents. A previous reviewer said they used a cut up pool noodle to dampen the sound. Very good advice! I am happy with the purchase.

This fountain is sturdy, easy to put together, soothing and LOUD (In a good way)! Some fountains just drip. I have this on my patio and I can sit in my living room with the sliding door open and enjoy this soothing sound. I enjoy my purchase so much that Ive gotten two more to give us gifts. I wish it were little taller and I wish it came in other colors.

It looks pretty and is easy to set up but the sound is terrible and not at all relaxing. Luckily I hacked it with a cut up pool noodle that I put inside the basin to buffer the sound and make it sound more like a trickle instead of a hollow cave

Got too excitedy too quickly when I saw this. Set up was easy; working fine but sounds EXACTLY like a toilet that is running = torturous. I think if it weren't dropping so far into the thing it wouldn't echo so much but it is the opposite of soothing. I am also nervous to have this within reach of children as it says not to reach into the water within the unit. Fine. But the top comes off easily and if that's an issue, I can't be concerned with babysitting it. One star because it's nice looking. No one is answering the toll free phone number included in instructions.

This is an adorable little fountain. It is quite sturdy for its size, and is heavy even before adding water. It came well packaged, and took less than 10 minutes to put together. I did not need any outside tools, etc. it came with shims to ensure it was even, but I didn’t need them. There is a notch for the cord to settle through on the bottom. This fountain is listed as an indoor or outdoor fountain. We are in the midst of winter here, so I have it set up indoors until the risk of freezing is past. I think it would be best suited for outside, though. The sound is quite loud from the water falling back into the barrel. Indoors it is distracting, but outdoors it would be lovely.
