16 fl oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle Pink - All In Motion™

I love and hate this bottle... It's a great size for carrying around, unbeatable price, and a pretty color. Unfortunately, the actual usage of it is ruined by the lid. The spout, specifically. For some reason, the spout on the lid has an X of plastic obstructing the opening, and there's no venting mechanism, so you barely get any water when you try to drink from it. It is awful. See picture. I tried to use this multiple times, and every time I'd just get so frustrated, I went without. That being said, the top of the bottle is a standard size like many other bottles, so I am able to use a lid from a different bottle (thermoflask 24-oz) and it works great. Obviously it doesn't match, but I'd rather be able to actually drink the water at a standard pour rate when I'm thirsty out of a mismatched lid than get barely a trickle from the original lid. I haven't checked the lids on the larger bottles of the same line, but if it's just the 16-oz with this obstruction, maybe the manufacturer assumes the smaller size bottle will only be used by children so they add that to limit the rate at which the water comes out of it...? But they don't market this bottle for any age group, so I don't know.
