The Holmes 18" stand fan provides cooling relief during the hot and muggy weather. The tilt adjustable head and heigh adjustable pole (up to 52") allows you to fine tune and target the direction of airflow to provide maximum cooling relief. The wide oscillation delivers cooling airflow in large living areas quickly. This fan includes a remote control to conveniently control the comfort and speed settings. Sleep mode provides quiet setting for ideal sleep, and Breeze setting creates natural breeze sensation. Use the auto shut-off timer to set the length of time your fan will run before it automatically turns off (up to 8 hours).
I wouldn't say it's the worst fan and it's definitely not worth the money. Yes it's a fan and it's pretty powerful but with that power comes . . . noise. It is soooo loud and it shakes alot especially when I put it on level 3. Its as described and easy to assemble but I think you might be better off getting a different fan altogether. I wish I would have.
Easy to assemble and circulates air better than my Lasko.
I use my fans with smart plugs and when the smart plug turns off the fan, it can't turn it on again. Have to manually do it, or use the supplied remote. I really don't want to deal with another remote. Will probably take this fan to work, and buy the simpler fan from Holmes and hope its smaller blades are just as effective.
2 stars for doing what a fan is supposed to do. It's powerful and blasts the air where you need it to go. The motor and blade are very loud, there's no way to turn off the BEEEEP when you use the remote at 2AM, and the pole won't stay extended to the height I want. It slowly keeps moving down even though it's tightened in place. It would make more sense to have the pole utilize those push buttons to adjust the height. Assembly was easy and done correctly on the first try.
