Q: How does the bagel setting function? Are the heating elements on all sides supposed to heat up or just the ones in the middle?

A: I bought one. The bagle function does not work. A sliced bagle toasts on both sides. Bummer Returning the toaster to Target. Will buy a new one, since it is on sale, and will seeif the bagle function.

A: It's a HORRIBLE toaster for your morning waffle (unless you enjoy burnt waffles). And the crumb tray is not at the top. It's on the underside. Easy to slide out from the back side on the bottom of the toaster.

I've had this toaster for about 8 months and it's been good. I like that it has a bagel setting on it. I wish the slots were just slightly longer to fit the bread I buy--I currently have to put it in sideways to fit, so it cooks a little funny. It did have a bad smell at first, but that went away. It's been a good purchase so far, great for the price point.

I like the design and color, but the toaster burns at every setting. It sets off the smoke alarm even at the lowest setting. I unplug it after every use. Had it for two months and will return it to the store. I called the customer service number in the owners manual but didn't get a rep to answer.

We bought 3 "Name Brand" toasters in the $50-$100 range in 2 weeks & NONE of them worked. Two smelled of strong chemicals when they heated up, and one didn't even heat up! So I went to Target to shop in person, and found this old-school "Made by Design" toaster for only $15! I've had good luck with this brand, so I wasn't concerned it was so cheap. It looks great, and its faint chemical smell went away a few seconds after I toasted a 'test-slice" of bread. It's small, has a grey-black metal exterior, a Bagel option & IT WORKS GREAT!
